I am not sure if this is the correct forum or even website but I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find info on the greyhawk area called the LAND OF BLACK ICE? I searched my collection and can find no info. Who was their? How did it come to be? ETC ETC. Thanks all!

The Land of Black Ice is located in the far NW portion of Greyhawk, north of Blackmoor and the Burneal Forest.  Only a portion of it is shown on the older Greyhawk maps.  The 3rd edition maps show the whole area.  Here is a paragraph from the Gazetteer:  Black Ice, Land of: In the far north, at the furthest edge of the known lands of the Flanaess, is a seemingly endless landscape of deep blue-black ice. It fills the horizon beyond the Burneal Forest and the land of Blackmoor. The source of these rolling fields of ebony ice is unknown. Strange arctic monsters prowl this place, and the few humans who live nearby fear to enter it.

I think the Dragon Magazine archive on computer CD has a search function. I would check there to see if it was ever developed...Another source to check is Dungeon Mag. I do not know of another way effeciently search the Dungeon run.  I am surprised Allan hasn't chimed in on this one. There is a whole Greyhawk community you can check with. This group includes Gygax amongst others.  Good luck. Adam
