I dont have a clue. He stopped emailing me the item lists after the 1st 2 and I haven't seen or heard anything since. :? I know he was emailing both Badmike and Cougar too though, so maybe they made a deal.  No matter what though, I can guarentee no one was going to pay $15,000.00 for that lot unles it got a whole lot better than what I received.

kill, I can't find the post right now, but someone on ebay US was selling a huge lot of D&D stuff for $15,000. A couple of people asked for lists of the items, because he hadn't listed anything on the auction aside from "starts from the early 80s" and stating that they were in good condition.

Lists 1 & 2 were long, but didn't really have anything that stood out as amazingly rare.

Maybe Coug cut a deal with him though, as clarkie said.

(I think the original post was on "interesting items currently on ebay", the old topic).

For posterity, here is the link:

Suprisingly enough no one bid.

Yup, I only got 2 emails as well. I hope it was Coug that got it, actually. That massive amount of mediocre stuff would be a nightmare on shipping costs, and maybe it'll keep him too busy to screw around on eBay for a few days ;)

I don't blame the guy for trying to get $15,000.  Anyone want to purchase MY collection for $15,000.

What makes me laugh is the fact that he could not be bothered to LIST the items he wanted $15,000 for.

I've sent a few emails back and forth to the guy.  He's told me that he's going to get his shit together and now realizes he needs to make out full lists if he wants to get his moneys worth, so he's not going to make a return until he has everything he wants to auction totally listed with condition.  I've offered to drive over to his place and give him an honest evaluation, or help him divide the stuff up into sets,  or make him an offer on the stuff, since he lives fairly close, so we'll see what happens.  While he doesn't seem to have anything overwhelmingly valuable, he does have a remarkable variety and depth of items that would serve a reseller very well  :D   I just think like mentioned on this boards he probably needs to be a little more realistic about how much he could get in the Ebay marketplace selling it off in large chunks instead of painstakingly selling the items individually.
