Maybe its the name "Mike". I know of at least 2 other folks around here with the name Mike that have seriously large collections.

I think Howard is dumping one of these about once year or so. He sold one within the last 8 months or so. We had an email exchange as I also worked for MDG at the time, and I haven't seen him in more than 20 years. Nice guy.

I am guessing it will go for around $1,350.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

:P

The second GenCon auction copy would've done me. (Ever so slight premium for "mint", there).

I wish I knew who "Howard" is.   :(

How 'ard would it be for one of you to tell me?    :?

Who is he, please?      :?:

Not a good bclarkie day.   I hadnt even looked at the auction again before I put my previous post.  Dude, $1,601.45!!! 8O   Well that eliminates any inklings I had of placing another bid in there at the end.

Who are these people anyway?? 1st some guy named gutboy.barrellhouse with a 7 feedback wins the 1st/2nd print woody auction for a seeming ridiculous price and now some mark11777 guy shows up and has this Tsojconth auction at a riduclous price. WFT?!

The cover fold is 90% intact, with the exception of the tear on the bottom and a smaller one threatening to break in the centre. It is not "torn in half" ;)  And that was scary how fast you noticed the auction!

Just happened to come on as you posted your link.

*<seriously considers placing a bid>*

BTW, I knew you had this, but 2 questions. 1) Where did you happen to find this one? 2) How come you are selling it (you dont have to answer this if its for personal reasons :) )?

Found it in London, Ontario, the same used bookstore where I picked up the "5A" white box...evidently an early player of the game resided there, I believe his(her?) name was Robin Downs.  Unable to find more info on that person, unfortunately.

I've been planning on selling it for a while, actually, just waiting for the right time.

It doesn't "match" the rest of my collection in many ways, and hopefully the sale will help fund the rest of my collecting for a while...I vastly prefer stuff I can be comfortable flipping through, I'm always afraid to breathe on this one.  It will be missed, though.
