I was not saying it might not be worth the price just that he started it higher and may have scared some people who might have ended up paying more than that but are not willing to start that high. If I ever actually sold anything I would be tempted.

I guess I do not think like a collector should.  I was thinking of wallowing like a hog in mash in all of those modules.   :D

Um... if you like Diesel and want free autographs or to buy sketches, just talk to me. I speak with him regularly.

:D I for one would definately be interested in buying a sketch! Nothing fancy, but that would be awesome. Diesel's drawing of the lizardman, rogue, and human in the Rogue's Gallery was one of those D&D-defining pictures for me as a kid.

Heh, when I was 11 or 12, I sent a letter to TSR. I can't remember exactly what it was about, but I think I asked for the autographs of a few of the artists and talked about some character I was playing. Sure enough, I received a letter back with the autographs of Jeff Easley, Brom, and Clyde Caldwell (JE and CC were my two favorite artists at the time). My mom laminated it for me, and I've still got it today. I left it out in the sun too long (proudly displayed in my room) and it's faded almost to nothing now, but can still be read:

"To James

We got your letter and are glad you enjoy the game. Good luck to you and your Paladin. As per your request, here are the autographs of all the artists available at the moment." On TSR letterhead. Brom added his skull, and Clyde added the sigil thingy he used :)

I tell ya, this meant the world to me back then, heh. I'm grinning like a goof just having it sitting out again. Judging from the writing, it looks like Jeff Easley was the gentleman that took the time to write and send it. That's awesome. I had never noticed that before :)

That's so awesome & really kind of them.

More off topic rambling:

My friend who went to GC Indy this year & asked Elmore & Easley to sign my 1995 TSR notebook - and both drew little sketches in it. Can't wait until my friend gets back to Europe mid-autumn & posts it back to me :D

Mount Celestia doesn't want me and Baator's afraid I'll take over.

Yeah. I just sent an email to Mr. Easley to thank him, having just realized it was him that replied to the letter. A dozen years late I suppose, but better late than never :P

No card wrap on that one, unlike the other recent copy @ $54.

(Saw Ralf and Deimos on that one so presumed they'd OK'd international sales. Then eBay rejected my bid. *lol* :P).

Still v. cheap at the current price...

Man, that's cool.  Just the way a company should be run.  WoTC is probably the worst thing that ever happened to D&D.
