just for anyones info on that one, i have shipped loads of DMG's, UK shipping is normally about £3.50ish, so hes charging appx double. europe and international are WAY overstated.

BUT at least he is upfront about it.

Al

<edit> i have also msg'd him about it, so will let you know what he says

A quick reply

powerbook_fanatic wrote:This packed weighs 1.2 to 1.3 kg, I have included shipping as SD which is
£6.95. RD would be around £6, but at that sort of weight it becomes more
efficient to send as SD.

Special Delivery is a bit over the top. RD=Regular Delivery? 1st class would be £3.64 for 1st class upto 1kg which should cover an 800g DMG with packaging. And £4.52 for a package between 1kg and 1.25kg if they really went to town on the packing. So, is £2.36/£1.49 for materials and handling acceptable?

<edit>

powerbook_fanatic wrote:I only use signed for methods.

I do have 1000 feedback, and have shipped items before, my items are
weighed and accurately priced !

If it turns out I have significantly over estimated shipping costs then I'll
refund the excess..

Which adds another 66p to UK P&P and £3.30 for international signed for.

Figures are starting to add up now (in more than one way! )

His international shipping equates to $42 aussie dollars .... way over the top!

I love his one negative feedback:

Seller  mapputta ( 81) wrote:  Placed bid blindly, then complained a lot. I did not charge a peny at the end
Reply by powerbook_fanatic: I questioned shipping and instead of a sensible reply I get a negative

And on the other end ....

powerbook_fanatic  wrote: BUYERS BEWARE - ask a question & you'll get a neg from this temperamental seller
Reply by mapputta: Not true - abusive buyer, refused to pay indicated postage - I send the item fre

He questioned $5 shipping ... 8O  8O

interesting what he says too isnt it "When I opened my shop in Feb of 75 it served as our house copy but is in mint shape. So if you were thinking the booklet version was the first this may be a surprise. And as it was the single copy used in my shop it is a one of a kind."

well worth more digging this one...

*chuckles* And if anyone's thinking of paying a "personal call", please remember the "guard cats" tend to be larger in Pahrump than Solihull (or wherever it was that Louise's ST1 was stashed away). :D Image Image

This seller has some really nice stuff, but I'm not messing around with those shipping/paypal terms.  That's the first time I've ever retracted a bid.  Good luck to the rest of you, hopefully things will work out fine.

Must be the Mexican version. Very rare, I'm sure.

yeah its a shame really - just a perfect example on how to lose bids on such great items.
