Hah, good prediction seer!   8O   On this one I think my 2nd max was $925, and wouldn't have had time for a counter beyond it.

afoolandhis$ wrote:Yeah, I noticed that too. I wonder if it's a misprint (4 pages left? 8O ). Or does it refer to the hex sheets?. As in "D & D Hex sheets. About 40 sheets left <missing period> The Character Archaic."?

I suspect he means the Hex Sheets, not the Character Archaic. If its the CA, then he is actually extra sheets. 8O Never saw that happen before....

*reads again*. Ah, that makes sense. Sorry, was in a bit of a rush.

What's that bit about the 1977 edition, though? Did that still have the same cover sheet, out of interest?

You say?

Sorry, I still don't get it on the usual heavy bidding before the high res scans have been posted? :?

Looks like two or three possible marks (one sticker residue?) on the Pharoah for starters. Plus obvious questions on the Character Archaic, Battle of the Five Armies and OD&D supps. (how many staples in that Eldritch? ;))

Or have y'both already done all those? :o

Has anyone else received a similarly non-reassuring response?

5 1/2 days to go and they're sitting on $850+.

How about going out and buying a scanner or new digital camera if their current one won't focus closely enough? :?

Didn't obtain a textual description of condition/completeness, either, nor (yet) any interest in coming over here to post details.

Smart bid, Stephen.

yeah i think youve hit it right on there david. i got the nod to be able to bid, but dunno if i really wanna right now. the seller isnt filling me with any great confidence right now. what details are coming out are somewhat sketchy and well yes, if youre sitting on so much, surely its a good investment to one way or another, get some hi res pics sorted....cos that sum will blossom if done right. maybe the seller isnt that bothered and figures the sum they are currently going for is more than ok for them?

they aint "0" feedback for nothing you know :)

Al

ps. i am gonna sit that one out for now and see what gives over the next few days.  :?
