Brian, its cool! Being the small community that it is I can understand someones desire to remain anonymous ...

I for one don't feel the need for everyone to know everything I buy or sell.  (No it wasn't me)

So now that everyone is nice and relaxed lets get back to our regular rare auction bidding / watching.  Gotta run guys ... my popcorn is ready

I decided to stay out of this particular string because I was not in on the bidding, and will not be.

But the 0 bidder thing is a legit problem - acaeum member in hiding - or not.

Therefore, I don't think bclarkie needs to apologize to anyone. If I were - and I am not - the mysterious bidder, I wouldn't be "hurt" by the accusations. Please, enough of the PC crap.

When dealing with the rares that command $1,000 or more, members of this forum and ebay members in general have a right to think the auction is 100% legit.

We as acaeum members should be careful - most of us have seen the dark side. We should also realize that some actions are gonna turn on the heat. Hell, I've messed up an auction or two, and admit it. So what. Move on.

Now, back to finding interesting stuff for this thread...

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Just a note to say I'm going to be out of touch for about 20 hours so if interested parties could avoid having ST1 auction -related crises till then I'd be grateful.  Any evil misdoings will be sorted out on my return :-)

Cheers,

Sorry for being illogical and for being 100% careful before I drop $2500.00 on something. Maybe I am poorer then the rest of you, but I can not afford to piss away $2500.00, especially when I am not going to be sure that I didnt have to spend $2500.00 at all. Sorry. With that being said Improv does make a couple of good points, but I still fail to see any reason by wanting to be "Anonymous". Is someone afraid that we are all going to gang up them and break into their house and steal it??? Or is because like in other mulitmillion dollar auctions that there can be tax implications, or people not wanting others to know their true worth???

I am sorry, but the other thing I find completly annoying about this whole situation is that this is third ST1 that has come up for bid in the last 8 months and all of it turns into all this bullshit secretive backdoor dealing. Why??? What about this module makes everyone so secretive??? Must be me....

One obvious reason to remain anonymous does occur to me:

Maybe the guy does not want his wife to find out what he bid for some paper and cardboard from an English garden society party.

Character Archaic...not mentioned by name in the auction but it does mention Wee Warriors so searches may catch it. Just in case someone misses it.
