I'm guessing there wasn't.  At least, I'd be bragging by now if I had "picked one off"!  :D

If iI won a rare item at a ridiculously low BIN, I wouldn't brag until I actually had the item in my possession.  I wouldn't want anyone to contact the seller and try to poach the item.  Not that I'm implying that anyone here would do that of course...

Good point.  I guess we'll know in a few days/weeks.

Thanks!  Hah, I guess the value of a missing page on the last one sold is ~$600!     Maybe I'll sell one off page by page.... :D

*returns*

Was "interesting" to see that final price! :P

My snipe was higher on the previous one, btw.

Moisture damage and "slight 'old book' smell" (kinda appropriate for a Pharaoh, no?) are definite "better avoided" flags in my book, even thought I've seen worse than that. Please let us know if you manage to undo either/both of those, Jeff.

It has been pointed out before that traditional book collecting standards don't apply here... :)

I hope and don't think there will be anything to "undo".  Based on the pictures, my inquiries, research on distinguishing characteristics of the Daystar publications and serious bids (both recorded and (unrecorded?)), I'm very confident the condition is excellent with no true water damage/bleed.  Will provide additional details whence it arrives!   :P

Yeah, at least there's no bleed like on a Character Archaic... :?

That damp wrinkling and "old book smell", plus other similar items they have for sale in worse condition were obviously of concern.
Had a good sniff and couldn't detect any such smell here, so it's not as though that's the paper stock they used.

Hopefully will work out AOK, but I know I'd be popping that into quarantine first, "just in case". Fingers crossed.

I don't think that's a 1st print Boot Hill, is it?

2nd print BH (1977?) in apparently nice condition plus a second print Starfaring (1976).
$50-60 would be a pretty good price and ditch whatever's not of interest in the rest. Nice spot, <lokiwookie>.
