Ask the recipient of Mr. Huckerby's 3rd woodgrain whether they agree?! :P

Hmm... did I say those 5th boxes speckle and chip badly? ;)

Contents are pretty sweet, however (and US-only).

R&D Bowl: Parts & Accessories | eBay

I'd consider this lot, but moving and need all my $. Shame as I don't have any of them in my collection.  The buy-it-now seems a little high for V/VF though don't you guys think?

Especially since this:

1st ed AD D RPGA Forgotten King RARE | eBay

Seems to have a reasonble B-i-N.

And this is also available:

AD D Module LOST TAMOACHAN Ultra Rare NM condition | eBay

Hadn't seen these mentioned so I thought I'd post 'em.

I hope you don't mind me asking. But will there be any copies for sale once the original has been sold? As this will obviously effect my bid limit.
Thanks.

John.
<edit>
Just to clarify.  I meant from you rather than the winner.

Sorry, no. One of a kind and I'm not making copies. Not being stiffnecked or anything but we don't have a photocopy place here in the boondock Northwoods... and also, I don't want to disturb the ms, it's really in amazing condition.

Some of you may like the history and my notes and the Kuntz original... but the most notable thing, imho, is the 4 pg original Gygax typewritten. That just never appears, period.

(blatant plug? Nah...)

Afterthought #1: I've been asked by MANY people if I'll release any more copies of Gary's original Temple/Elemental Evil. No -- and I plan to give the original back to Gary in the near future. (Give, not Sell.) He got a bum deal from the PoG on many counts and it's the least I can do as a thank-you and as a friend.

Afterthought #2: I hope to sell any original ms only occasionally, like at least a month between each. Lord knows I have enough published junk to sell off...

Afterthought #3: AND, when budgeting, don't forget the original OD&D artwork coming up at the GenCon auction.

With the rinse-wash cycle he'll eventually hook someone who thinks that's a reasonable price having seen them priced higher "before".

He bought them off eBay for ~$670 (with a lot of fighting) and there's a good chance that they smell of smoke if the original seller's other items are anything to go by.

Nah, much too early. Haven't even opened Item Prereg yet. But I have a promise from the trusted seller that the original of the Pumpkinhead Bugbear (GH) will be put in. Others... we'll see what I can talk people into.

OK John, the woodgrain has more structural integrity and isn't quite as bad as I recall: it helped that you'd removed some of that masking tape.

[tact & diplomacy] "Nasty" is a relative term, I guess :) [/tact & diplomacy]

Don't be too sure.  That picture doesn't really show that the box would probably become 10 separate pieces of card if the masking tape were ever removed. 8O

Still interested to hear if Mike attempted any rennovation.

Congrats to the final winner on the 20 year lot of D&D stuff. I was going to jump in at that last second but it passed my no more bid mark. A nice deal still, I did the math. At 130 items for $1150, that's $8.80 a piece. Some of those items are worth a heck of a lot more than $8 bucks, too! With some strategic resales, you could make up some of that cost. Depends on what you want to sell or keep, though! :D The seller had sent me some other pics offline and I noticed some items not shown in the photos on ebay. Again, nice win for cougarrinard.

I checked this out and it was still available, I was going to snag it but hesitated for a few minutes... Oh well, I can use that $150 for bills now instead.
