Also, all of the sups, in excellent condition, will be going up in the next 30 minutes (all seperate auctions).

Gus; any idea whether those supps. were just "in the same box" or purchased at the same time?

thx ^^

I e-mailed the 94.4, np Paypal seller. He;s a chump, tries to say his feedbacks are all retaliatory for buyer non-payments, blah blah blah, but if you read them he is flat-out lying, since he left good feedback for buyers and never shipped the items. Bad attitude as well. Bidding on this one is crazy, no way to cover your ass.

Sups were purchased seperately.  :D

Why the rolly eyes on my 'Fifth Printing'?  The only dates in the box say 1974, and the Acaeum says that makes it a 1975-1976 fifth printing.  Can't tell which of those years it was from.  Not that I woulnd't have found a way to work all thoose years into the description, mind you!  8)

But in this case it is legit keywording IMHO.  :)

Whenever Harami uses rolly eyes, especially if OD&D is involved, check to see if there is a date in the sentence he quoted.  I'm guessing the Acaeum description is wrong. ;)  I'd have to go hunting through the newer research threads he's started, but I'm guessing 5ths were slightly later than that.

5th = Mid 1976 - Late 1977, yes, afaik.

1975-76 (Dec 75 - Apr 76) is impossible, just like that "25,000 copies printed in late 1975" is, in the same interview where EGG fails to correct a comment that there were no oB3s not returned by the distributors.

Hey, whatever people remember or wish to remember: their call :)

Those supps were consistently late, but just a bit too far hence my question, Gus. Thanks for the confirmation.

Any idea how come the Acaeum lists "Fifth (Dec 1975 - Apr 1976)"?  That is all I was going by, and hadn't read anywhere else to the contrary.  :?

Well, let's see...

At a guess I'd say all 25,000 copies of the 4th(-) printing sold out in a month and the 5th was released in December? Not... :D

(Aside from anything else, that was in the middle of TSR's three month delay to get Blackmoor released by Christmas).

Once upon a time I worked out a possible reason why there was that guessed end-date of April 1976, but can't recall that at the minute :?

Various evidence, inc. the stock list puts the 5th at mid-1976, the 6th (early OCE, >1 cover print) at late-1977 onwards, and 7th (late OCE, >1 cover print, w/o stocklist prices as per the additional "last print" supplements (all of them?) not currently listed) at mid-1979 onwards.

Comments were amalgamated at Research question: OD&D Supplements :) from earlier posts, PMs and emails.

Sounds like a relatively sane amount to me. Would've been more like $400-425 last year; faults, yet still presentable.

Will see... ^^

*grins sheepishly*. Thanks, y'all.

Don't like doing a mix-and-match, but I do have some very decent 3rd print books and am missing a set of ref sheets. Even if these all just "sit" together will be a fairly decent set, that way.

A bit expensive for "research", though, but will have a good look anyhow.

Hmm... IMO, would still say $100+ over on the woodie, but $30 under on the 1st Blackmoor and $20-25 under on the 1st Swords & Spells.

Doesn't work out too badly like that, phps.

*waves goodbye to Fazzle* :P
