If I would have seen it first with a BIN of $300, I don't think I would have hesitated.  It is worth $300 easy!  Hell, I might have hit the BIN at $500.  I can't believe RPG_Auctions messed the BIN :-(

TBH, it may in fact be the most collectible 3rd edition product out there in the world today.  The again that statement in itself is a huge oxymoron. :P  I do have to admit though it is on my now pretty short WTB list. :)

That seems a bit crazy to me. Stephen<afoolandhis$> won one last spring for like ~$110.

Sorted. :D

And I think Stephen's was signed, too? The way I see it, I just swapped a set of Geos for a Haunted Lighthouse. My Geos came off at $150.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

WOW.  RPG_Auctions cancelled his bids and then hit the BIN.  I wonder if he read my last post?  :?

Indeed I did, Gus. I'm giving you a stack of cash this evening as well, IIRC.

Indeed it is.  And it's a cool module.  I daresay Ian got a good deal there, seriously.  Mine is signed (to "Steve", coincidentally enough), but is not as nice as the one Ian got appears to be.

I can't remember the price I got mine for, but you're probably right, Brian.  That one wasn't well advertised, though.

yeah i was watching on that one with a lil interest. seller has a 100% so doesnt look like he's shilling, but then, why would a noob go and flash the cash on this particular auction?

rather an odd one imo.

mind you they are some pretty nice items, but prb only worth it if you knew what you were looking at...

That is fairly typical newbie 'I must have it' type bidding. I used to do it when I was a newbie, and on some of the most common items.

To borrow a phrase from the World Poker Tour, I'm guessing the bidder is "on tilt" -- maybe he lost a few auctions recently and he's just not gonig to take it anymore!

I don't think the price is completely ridiculous, considering everything is in pretty good condition...that's the 2nd nicest T1st DMG I've seen so far.  I just inquired about the PHB flyleaves, as sellers have a habit of getting the printings wrong, after quickly consulting the Acaeum pages -- that might be a 1st PHB, and the bidder knows something we don't!

Hey Al,

This 2nd print MM arrived today:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

WTF???!!!  The mother-freakin' dragons are colored in, the cover is scuffed, and there's writing inside the front cover!

Nah, just pulling your chain.  Seriously, it's a beauty!  And thanks for the fast shipping.  I gave it to my son today, and he loves it.  He immediately plopped down in a chair beside the fire and leafed through it.  His very own Monster Manual!  What a great deal. :D  :D  :D
