I told Peter that would sucker anyone not familiar with the Lake Geneva printings.

Different composition staples... Rust; what rust?

Anyone used to handling stacks of rusty supplements (other than T1st Greyhawks) is working under a totally false premise if trying to compare condition on that basis alone.

Personally I think it might creep (no pun intended) a bit higher than that. There are enough people who want a 1st (of sorts) to push it closer to $2k (perhaps :? ). But you never know; they might all be on holiday. :D

Puts his own stake in the ground. I might have two 3rd prints for sale in a few days at this rate (hopefully checks bank balance  ).

Hrm, I suppose if I had a copy I'd have known that.

However, I don't think you can really call the set complete if it doesn't have staple rust...I'm out, guys.

I am dead in the water if that is my final bid, its less than a full bid increment.

Sorry, man, but that's just what this finely tuned predatory machine was hoping to hear.  I've been filing my teeth over night...

Man, reading that old thread linked in the auction really brings back fond memories of John, aka aneoth.  Anyone hear from him anymore?  He was fun to have around.

Badmike and I have talked to him several times since he sold his stuff. The last time I spoke to him was about a month ago.  We got together and had some BBQ and just yakked about things.  I know he has been really busy with work.  I tried to get him and Mike to go to GenCon with me but both have things going on this weekend.  I wish I could make it but instead I will be here in Dallas hanging out at the Great American Videogame Expo instead.  Maybe next year... :)
