Luck?  You're lucky I didn't get to that Bugbear before you did, Al.  Very nice win there, man.

Glad the package arrived.  Enjoy.

I have to admit, packing up that PoVQ and shipping it off to Canada was a heck of a reality check.

Good to have you back then!  I cannot imagine giving up collecting this stuff now, I personally have been an avid collector for about 11 years now.

Sometimes people ask me why not sell all your stuff and get lots of money?  I think about it then it hits me, with all that cash I could buy more D&D stuff  Seriously though if you are a collctor at heart then a collector you will always be, maybe not games but something!

Games can get you through times of no money but money can not get you through times of no games!!

i thought about this one and realistically, i feel you should be a collector to the degree that you are happy with. you dont have to HAVE everything that comes around, just be happy with what you are getting and have 1 or 2 things on the horizon that youre looking for - keeps the interest fresh, your collection smaller and then you dont really get fed up.

i gotta sell mine now to fund the GBH item, but thats ok - its an item i have wanted forever so a step to the greater good imo.

good to hear back from ya and am still envious as hell of you in greenland! hope youre having a blast. always been an ambition of mine to walk to the top of a glacier.

Well, my Acaeum brothers (and sister), I'm off to the Baltic Sea tomorrow.

Good luck on the upcoming auctions.  I know of at least one big one starting up very soon.  I'm sorry I won't be able to participate.  The last few weeks up here have already cost me in terms of missed rares.

Ah, well, have a great time.

-Stephen

Back again.  Wonderful.   :D

Greetings, fellas, from just above The Circle.  The past two weeks in utter isolation have been, shall we say, mind-bending.  Good thing I had Terence McKenna to keep me company in my drafty tent...

nice one stephen :)

my friend Andrew Murray did the North Pole marathon, one week after completing the Marathon Des Sables. He said it was the most awesome experience, he came 4th out of 44 competitors and ran the whole thing in snow shoes!!!! i will endeavour to get some pics of the experience as i am sure you will enjoy them :)

he got in cheap as he was one of the doctors for the event, but to us norms, it would set you back a nice tidy 5000 euros to enter.

:)

Ahhh, wouldn't that be sweet.  Drafty tent be damned...

Al, that is an amazing anecdote.  Send the pics, man, I'd love to see them!

And Mike:  did I see Santa?  Sorry, I'm sworn to secrecy.

Well, I've just spent enough on this internet connection to pay for a mint-condi OCE, so better log off for now.  Damn, and I was hoping to catch up on things... Somebody PM me the highlights of what I missed in the last 2 weeks!   :D
