...for my brother Phil's wedding.  I'll probably check in now and again, but am likely to be scare.

If anyone sees a copy of Seren Ironhand or The Lost Abbey of Calthonwey in the meanwhile, please bid as my proxy :D

Allan,

Have a blast, and congrats to your brother. Same brother you gamed with?

Also peek around at local stores if you get a chance…because who knows a "Treasure of the Dragon Queen" could be lurking in the back of an old Jersey game store (location of the tourney). I'd also ask the owners who are the older gamers/gaming groups on the store message board. Their numbers are there for the taking, and look for things like:

"1st Ed, AD&D, DM looking for group. 20 + years experience! Will travel and play anytime. Call Willy… 555-5555. Or similar

Good chance a guy like this never left home, and he or maybe friends could have a copy from the old days. Sometimes extreme measures are required to find rare items. I've got my eye's open for tourney for you. If I come across one it's yours.

BTW, avoid A massage like

~Vampire Sundays~ Played every Sunday evening starting at dusk, upstairs at the Half-Moon Café. Proper attire and "larping" required. Contact Prince Steffen. :P

just teasing

Whelp, I'm off to Vegas with the Lady today myself. Sin City for the rest of the week. Anyone know of a game store worth checking out?

I'll try and pop on here and there between dice throws 8O

Does anyone know of any good stores in NJ?  Coincidentally, I have a friend who is going there next week.

Where in Jersey?  Down south only?  Any trips planned to get up to North Jersey?  or to NYC?

I think the online store dragon's trove is down in South Jersey somewhere.

I grew up in jersey but I cant think of a single old rpg store! We always bought our stuff from the local book store. Still there is an old saying in NJ if you are looking for something you can find it in NYC! A treasure of the dragon queen might be an exception to that rule---good luck---jersey sure is a long way from alaska! Have to get back sometime!

I'm staying with my folks in Merchantville, my brother and his fiancee will wed in Princeton, and the reception's in north Jersey (Bridgwater, I think).

Hmmm, I'll have to go digging.  Gamer's Realm's the only one I know of offhand, and they shut down their Cinnaminson store leaving only the one in West Windsor.

There isnt much in NJ anymore.  Gamers Realms is probably the best bet, although you wont find anything really exciting there.

All of the Cinnaminson stock was moved to the other location by the way.

While rummaging around my folks' house today, I found my long-lost RJK correspondence from 1987 and '88 :D

I also found my brother's pre-gen PC from Treasure of the Dragon Queen.  More details to come after our return to CA tomorrow :D
