The method they are shipping costs around $36.00 (Global Express . . . what the heck, it's not a $1,000 module or anthing!!!).

Still, quite a bit of upcharge as well.  :?

Im fairly sure its that much because the only trackable shipping overseas is that expensive and paypal explicitly says you need tracking or we wont help you.

Although for a $1 item thats kind of overkill, ok its way overkill unless they truly are ripping people off.

And they want $55 for P&P.

I've checked the ebay rules and they definitely should have Ts and Cs
on the ebay listing, not on their (at the time unavailable website..)..
but I don't know if ebay would regard $55 as excessive anyway...

sigh..

$55 for ONE book? are they seriously taking the piss there? man that is soooo out of order. mind you, that isnt nearly as bad as the lot i had to pay for - $115 shipping cos the guy wouldnt post anything other than fedex - then had the cheek to come back and say the shipping was more (another $15) - the fecking shipping was like 1/3 more than the lot was!

you live and learn i guess.

can't you have it shipped to a US address? (ie draco offered above etc).....

I only saw UPS listed as their shipping service, where did you catch the USPS method?

In their description, there is a "box" on the right side of the page with shipping methods internationally and to Alaska, etc.  They have quite a bit of "stuff" to filter through, but it is all there.

well i have gotten that sick of paypal "helping me", that i have just simply bypassed them and got my credit card to deal with things directly, which they are doing. paypal are bloody useless and have never once helped me with anything.

other than a quick way to pay for something and get someone to pay you, i wouldnt bother with them at all. shame really that there are no decent alternatives that are well used (that i am happy with anyway)

USPS does offer tracking on overseas shipments if it's first class, it costs $7.50 I think. But they don't offer it for Global Priority, just found this out yesterday.

Scouts out!

Hallo, shiny happy people,
I'm using "Resurrect" spell on this thread.
Some days ago (last wednesday/thursday) I won this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... RK:MEWN:IT

I've sent 3 emails to the seller but I get no answer ...
From the feedbacks I argue that he is trustworth, so I'm asking you if you know him (or if one of you is him).
Thank you very much in any case and ...
have a nice day
Giorgio

Giorgio,

Don't know who this is, but I'd recommend being patient.  Some people are just plain slow at responding.  By patient I don't mean waiting around, though.  If you've been sending the emails through eBay, try emailing him directly if it's not hidden.  Sometimes eBay has a habit of not sending emails properly.

As you're the buyer, I assume you're inquiring about a shipping quote or some such thing?  Don't pay him until he responds, and at the very least you'll get to keep your money...just my thoughts.

This was the Memorial Day three-day holiday weekend here in the US, so that may partially explain the seller's lack of a response. Nevertheless, if someone's going to put something up for sale on eBay, they should be sure they can give the auction its due attention when it ends, or else wait to list until they can. Anyway, see if you here from him today or tomorrow now that the holiday has passed.

Thank you guys.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm not in a particular hurry ... so, I'll wait quietly.
