Has anyone checked jonb's feedback rating lately. Anyone else notice that the negative feedback post is no longer there, not mutualy withdrawn, just gone!

It was left by beeatch_icide
Going to his feedback you will notice that the feedback he left is not visible anymore

Okay now this is getting ridiculous. that is the second time Ebay has just flatout removed feedback from jonb's account. I wonder when they are going to remove the neutrals just left. This is starting to get pretty annoying.

I knew it, good old Ebay and their F'd up feedback system at work.

Will they be kind enough to erase the unearned neutral's left by johnb?
So according to ebay... paying promptly, waiting 17 days for your item, being overcharged $4.00 on shipping and the seller can still hit you with a neutral cause you complained. :x :x

Pathetic

I apid on the 10th, my item was shipped on the 17th. I did get it, though. That is saying something.

did anyone notice that he placed a bid above mine last night on the Orange B3 and then retracted his bid?

Are we nearly there yet?

I think he was trying to jack up your bid Alan, and if he wasn't doing that he was testing the waters for a snipe. Either way I would report his ass to EBay for abusing the bid retraction system and auction interference, as it is very clear that he did not enter the wrong bid amount. His bid was $625.00 and the bidding had been sitting at $611.66. It would have been different if he placed a $6250.00 bid, but $625.00 shows clearly what his intentions are. I know the seeler is posting here currently, but you might want to email them and have them report good ole jonb to Ebay as well.

I don't get it.  Why would he be testing the waters for a snipe?

It is a lot easier to plan what your snipe is going to be, or if you want to set one up at all for that matter, if you already know what the high bidders bid is. :)

Very sneaky but this will go for more than $625.00.

I knew this would happen with the "Game Emporium" comment in the feedback.  The next of us that leaves damning negative feedback, please leave out all referecnes to ETC or GE, funny as they may be  :D
Actually, If I remember, doesn't he have something in his comments about not selling to bidders with less than 10 feedback?  If this is the case he can probably get the feedback removed by pointing out the buyer/bidder violated the terms that he put forth.  Same thing if you put "no foreign bidders" and someone from Botswana wins and then threatens to leave neg unless you send to them.  This actually happened to me (it wasnt Botswana, it was South Africa, close enough) and the scenario happened like that.  I contacted ebay and they did something pre-emptively where the buyer couldn't leave feedback....they basically cancelled the sale for me.  Maybe something like that is going on....

Oh, yeah, he clearly did not "enter the wrong amount"; this is retraction-abuse at its worst.

(Not to get too off-topic, but I've always loathed eBay's bid-retraction policy. I really don't think retractions should be allowed — ever. The only two excuses ever offered are "sorry, wrong amount" and "my kids must have done it"; both are total bullshit. We all know that 99-plus-percent of bid retractions are an attempt to smoke out the current high bid)

Clarkie is right; this really should be reported. Unfortunately, eBay policy is clear that only the seller has a legitimate right to complain — if you're reading this, orange B3 seller (sorry, I've forgotten your name), then, by all means, file a complaint.

eBay Feedback Profile for jonb7839

Now comes part II: how will Jon figure out how to get these negs erased?

Duke, I have to say that there are cases when bid retraction is not a fraud.

I for one retracted a pair of bids because the eBay.com system makes a distinction between punctuation marks - and we europeans use a full stop to indicate decimals instead of a comma.

So, sometimes I mistyped the amount - let's say, 6,25 dollars that become a staggering 625,00 - and sometimes you don't remember to check it out at the end... so, our faults (but too costly ones).

:)

Egads! That's sort of funny and horrifying at the same time ...

Okay, I'll amend my earlier statement: 99-plus-percent of bid retractions from American bidders are total b.s.

JUst a little update on our good friend jonb and his dead brothers stuff.  Just happened to notice his auction wins over the last 4 weeks:

Welcome to eBay

Doesn't really seem like someone just looking to offload a bunch of stuff from his dead brother doesn't it.  The worst one is this one though:

OK, let's put the facts out there:

1. JonB is not a brother, he IS TGE in a new incarnation.
2. The pattern is following the same lines.
3. Several "dead brother" items that were sold and unsent before are being resold.

I'm not sure why this thread gets any attention, this should all be old news to everyone. The basic fact of the matter is that if you bid on JonB auctions, you may or may not get what you pay for.

There are new members of the Acaeum everyday,  many of them have absolutely no clue as to the history of ETC/GE/JB.  Running through the high points of this dumbass' "career" gives newer members a "heads up" when dealing with this combo of liar, thief and con man.  Now, I agree with you, that anyone who has been on these boards for any length of time that bids on his stuff needs to drink a big bottle of Caveat Emptor.
