Yeah, I feel sorry for the poor s.o.b. that bought it the first time.  How long before we see the Kobold Hall up for sale again, too?

Okay, so I showed these pics to my dad who used to collect crocks.   His (not expert opinion) is that these are likely copies from Civil War era (made in the 1950's or so).   His reasoning was that the glazing is not typically that shiny after 100+ years. :?    Could be the photo, but with his history, I doubt it.

Yup, would go with that.

This guy is a complete pile of crap.  How many different ways can you lie in the same auction description?

"Your bidding on the now VERY hard to find AD&D 1st Edition Hardback....DEITIES & DEMIGODS!!! 1980 copyright, and getting VERY Hard to Find!!
This is the HIGHLY Sought after Edition that Contains....THE CTHULHU and the Melnibonean Mythos!!

These were taken out...after TSR was threated to be sued over using H.P. Lovecraft's and Michael Moorcock's fantasy Gods!!

Making this NEARLY Impossible to find now.....expecially in this condition!!

This Book is in Very Good Condition! It does have some cover wear, mostly along the corners and the edges. Inside pages are nice and clean, and still in great condition! Just has the former owners name on the inside cover page...but written small! Still a GREAT Copy of this Rare Book!! PLEASE Check out my other Auctions right now....I have TONS of Hard to Find and now Out of Print Roleplaying Games!!  I'm Happy to COMBINE auctions for you if you happen to win more than one of my Auctions. : ) Shipping and Handling is 5.00 + 1.00 for each additional Item won after the first!!"

"Nearly impossible to find."  OK, whatever.
"Very good condition."  I dont know about that.
"Former owners name...but written small."  Does it matter?
"Still a great copy of this rare book."  Cracks me up.

The entertainment factor alone makes it worth it to read his auction descriptions.  :D

Personally, I avoid nutcrackers of all sorts.   Youch!!!    I dunno, but I suspect that since he uses the same set up in both auctions ("told me that this has been in the family for "x" years"), it too is a crock of shmitt.

I wonder if the nutcracker is the RARE, hard-to-find, Cthulhu edition.    Just thinking about it, makes it even creepier.

What's truly creepy about the nutcracker description is that he thinks for some reason it's noteworthy that the thing measures "9 inches".

How stupid are people anyway. The guy who just left jonb neutral feedback, has 2 negs and 1 other neutral feedback on his account other than the retailatory ones he just received from jonb. Who wants to take a guess at what old Ebayer gave him that bad feedback last year. I will give you 3 hints: 1) No Longer a Register User 2)From Virginia 3)has the initials TGE...................................Unreal
==================================
Anyone want to email the buyer and let him konw.

bah i have loads of them - at least 15 :) only diff between the 1st and 2nd print is the 2nd has a nice colourful cover, and you can have mine much cheaper :) (well the 2nd prints anyway)

i just found the 1st print one i have, which aint in that great a condition, but dont have writing in it yay! (never looked before) - i notice his doesnt have "no.80" in the bottom left and "$4.50" in the bottom right.

my 2nd prints are all shrinkwrapped so i cant check them. i wonder if under the cover of the colour sheet, you would find the self same mod tho.....

he's a bloody muppet if he's paying that much for it and THEN having it shipped too!

well it couldnt happen to a nicer person :)

Not to mention that the 1st print has a printing error and is missing some sections...
