Does anyone have all the rpga items pictured?

Yes to the slip cases, but the rest of the items, no.

I recall that the note pads and blank puzzles were available, but I never purchased them as they weren't really appealing to me.  The Collector's Art Portfolio might have evolved into the RPGA Artists of TSR portfolio mockup, which also did not sell well at the time.

Something with real, practical value at the gaming table. The DM lets the wind-up toy walk into the PC's minis, thereby introducing a new combat mechanic the players weren't expecting. Sure, your paladin has a good armor class, but what about center of gravity?

Here's a mockup cover for Top Secret "Orient Express" module.
Used for ads before it was printed; cover got changed a bit (first pic is the stock cover shot)

Found a 1982 ad for TSR computer games. Pic of the 3, and mentioning 2 that I never heard of.

Hi Frank, when I read the blurb on that ad for one of those games "Ordeal of Magic" it reminded me of a painting Tim Truman did. I looked it up and sure enough that seems the same one.

Wow, that's a fantastic piece (Pterodactyl wizard!). Where did you find the image, and was it ever used in anything published?

I saw the painting sold some years back on ebay. I think I had run across that image in a Dragon article but I'm not finding it right now. It must have been re-used for that article since the original notation on that piece specified a computer game and a "25%" for the reduction in the printing. Maybe it never even made it into a catalog or advertisement? Or maybe there's another advertisement we all haven't seen yet?

Cool! Thanks for finding that. I was sure I had run across it somewhere. I should hit up Tim and see if he recalls anything specific about that computer game it was originally done for.

Btw, that Larry art in that mockup for the cover of the Companion box set was used for a giant poster display in 1983 at Gen Con XVI at the TSR booth.
