I wish it the listing referenced the fact they were new and set a BIN. They arent vintage.

I think a lot of folks wont care that they are new. I think they look great. It just seems to value some short term gain off a higher selling price for the first few auctions - which costs credibility later. It seems short sighted and too clever by half.

I don't think there were any like these.  They aren't very rare either:

Novel idea, but there's some shady wording in these auctions.

I feel like this is something my arts and crafty grandma (from Wisconsin of course) would have made with me in the early 80’s during summer vacation stays in attempts to relate to my D&D obsession…

That would be very cool.  I have a few Playboy Club ashtrays from the 70's (Gen Con X @ the Lake Geneva Playboy Club was in 1977).
