I pulled my Undermountain parts and pieces out today to sell off some of the extras. In doing so, I ran across some interesting indicators of the length of its print run.

The original Undermountain set was in print for quite a while, 1991 through 1996(? Best guess based on TSR catalogs). Certainly long enough that the Undermountain Adventures book was printed with 3 different TSR logos! (Angled, Badge, Shield).

I noticed that one set of UM maps had a glossy texture. Gloss is hard to pick up on camera, but a flash reveals the sheen. So different print runs of the poster maps. None of my other maps were glossy except the one set. Perhaps a final printing of the maps from a different print shop? I dunno.

I thoroughly updated my 2016 post on the Undermountain maps if you're interested in a further look at UM1's maps.
