I have seen incredibly poor mail service recently, I would say I've gotten mail about 50% of expected days since around the 4th of July and have gotten my neighbor's mail 3 times in that same span.  Could definitely be attributed to less sorting time.  It should be noted that my local PO was pretty poorly rated for some time. Evidently in the Fall it was considered the worst in our postal region and they brought in a new Postmaster to shape things up, so could be prior issues and not necessarily the recent cutbacks.

I am having issues with USPS, especially for international shipments.  I’m seeing anything from unusual package routes and delayed transitions, to several instances of failed tracking (from “accepted” straight to “delivered”)

Yes, me too. A variety of phenomenon, but my favorite was when a recent package entered my city (according to tracking), then went in a thousand-mile circle around the region before returning to my city & being delivered. Like a goddam flat stanley.

I just thought to search it today. It kinda answers it. Welp, my three listings just moved to UPS.

The cost of UPS and Fedex is much higher than USPS. When I ship overseas it costs at least twice as much if not more. Means eliminating a lot of buyers.

My response does read like I am trying to start an unpopular mutiny. :)

But, no, seriously those headlines scared the crap out of me.

Not attempting to gaslight anybody, but I haven't been seeing widespread issues with domestic shipment times. (Int'l shipping is a whole 'nother story - things are finally recovering on that front).

Here's a screengrab from my amazon seller account:

And this is matched by a lack of buyer complaints from all my venues. Customers don't suffer in silence.  :)

Possibly the difference is that I use machine postage labels? Handwritten addresses can slow things down sometimes.

Good point, and it’s hard to argue with numbers.  However, I’ve been using the USPS heavily for 20 years, and I can say with certainty that all of my received international shipments (post COVID) is taking anywhere from 50% to 100% longer than usual.  I’m not complaining because everyone is doing the best they can given the circumstances.

International shipment have definitely been a problem.  U.S., not so much.

I've had some issues with domestic Priority Mail at the end of July, taking up to a week to deliver. AND the USPS double-charged me for a label. Claimed I underpaid which was BS and I had proof of the initial payment/package. But who can fight the USPS and win? (Not me, in my past experience.)

Sincerely,
James D. Hargrove

I've had shipments from the same place and time take 10 days and the other 16 days.  Nothing I need to have right away thankfully.

I guess the upside in dealing in forty year old games is time is rarely critical :)

My customers have been overall very understanding about delays. And I’m sitting tight patiently waiting on my own deliveries. So there’s maybe been an extra 3-5 business days on US/Canada shipments without major issues.

I’ve received several packages through the USPS over the last two to three weeks with no delay or problems. (12+)

An important Priority envelope I sent got to WI in the time estimated and arrived on the day it was supposed to. So far I haven’t see any of the problems others have mentioned.

We did have a letterbox shuttered and signed for removal but our carrier said the last person who used it has gone to a nursing home(!) and they’ve not had any mail picked up from it for a several weeks. They decided to make the call to remove it.

YMMV
