There should be a tax on the use of "?" and "!".

Speaking of which, it's about time for Jonb to pop up with a new ID.  Keep a look out, it seems he likes to go aobut 6-8 months between incarnations, he could be gearing up for an after-holidays run.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.  I figure all we have to do is search on "Beastmaker Mountain" every once in a while, and we'll catch him.

I think I have a dealer shilling his own accounts.  Check out the bid histories.  And the start date of the shill account.

Not likely. The newbie bidder has/had bids in on several things from a multitude of sellers, including several wins:

Welcome to eBay

Also, and probably more importantly, the newbie is listed in Canada, which unless you are actually from Canada is next to impossible to create a user ID from:

This guy want to charge me $17.00 (and a $2.00 handling fee) for postage for this item:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Now I have received lots of items from the US and I do not remember having this high shipping.  Is this reasonable or just another shady rip-off dealer?

Blackmoor,

Here is the link to the USPS International calculator.

Rates are the same from anywhere in the US to any country.  Just choose Canada as your destination.

It can go as an "envelope" if it is less than 4 pounds (even if it is a package).

If it is over 4 lbs, it needs to go as a package.

Unless, USPS has changed recently, the rate to Canada is about half the cost of the rate to Europe.

Not necessarily a "rip-off" dealer, I'd definitely speak with him about the issue.  I assume minis are a bit heavy so it might not be bad, anyway, I don't know.  We all know the "handling fee" is bogus, but you could see that in the auction up front, and adjust your bid accordingly.

Some US sellers will only ship "Priority" or "Airmail", which makes a lot of sense for worldwide shipping, but not so much sense to Canada.  They want to get the items through the postal system as quickly as possible.  They're not paying for the shipping, so they don't care about the cost.

What they fail to realize, however, is that America actually has a pretty impressive postal system!  Surface mail to Canada usually only takes 1-2 weeks from the continental USA.  The USPS lists 4-6 weeks to cover themselves, and to promote the more expensive options.

Besides, it's not like anything we collect is new.  Most of it's been around for 20+ years, what's a few more weeks.  :)

Nicolas, I have 2 questions for you. 1) Did you ever get your money back? & 2) What did the seller say about you not getting your stuff?  I am going to ask this seller about this lot and its familiarity to me ()  and I want to have all my facts straight before I do.

Seems good ole Coug has stolen someone elses money:

eBay Feedback Profile for camarord

Sad part is I remeber this auction and I knew that this was going to happen.  This was that auction that the seller had listed that DUngeon Magazines 1-24 were included and in reality it was only like DUngeons 1 & 24 that were included. I guess Cougar never bothered to follow up on that part and instead of going for the partial refund or full refund by sending it back to the seller, he figured "What the hell I might as well take his money and his stuff".  What a dick.  It is instances like this that are precicely the reason I will never deal with Cougar again.  It is so obvious that Cougar is a thief, becuase if he isn't I have never seen someone in my entire life on EBay that had so many packages never arrive.  I have said it before and I will say it again, but if Coug has so many difficulitesd getting his parcel via M-bag, why does he insist on continuing to use them to have stuff shipped.  The answer actually is quite simple, he does it becuase it is untrackable and he can just charge anything back that he wants. He is just a flat out thief, and to be honest not a very good one at that.

I agree, he uses the M-bag as a ploy to sucker in people then complains to Ebay.  Nothing but a common thief!
