Isn't TrollingLoad the seller I had a run-in with some time back?

Good:
Courteous
Has some decent stuff

Bad:
Prices high
Uses stock pics

I have no personal experience as a buyer from T&T.

Ah, thanks Al!
Well, there you have it. I do know the name raises flags when I hear it.

TrollandToad was the seller that Frank Meztner personally vouched for.

One issue with T&T was that they had ripped off some of their stock photos from the Acaeum and other websites then listed in their auction specifically that these pictures were there own and that you could not use them.

Another issue, was that they had a separate account that seemed to buy a couple of their own auctions, apparently for testing purposes, but they also left themselves positive feedback.

Communication does seem fairly good, but prices and shipping prices are ridiculous high.

That would have been a tourney mod. I recall now.
To be honest, I don't care if Mother Theresa vouches for someone. I go by personal experience.

Its a shame Frank has stopped visiting the Acaeum.

why only a thread for shady dealers and not for shady buyers as well?

more messages from ebay sellers of people from here trying to get them to close auctions cheap after bids on the table so they can sell their own less good copies and get better copies free of charge or at a profit

stop it and grow some ethics please

I'm pretty sure he has a few of the Silver Anniversary sets already but is looking to pick up more of them if he can get them at a reasonable price.

Here's a bona-fide shady dealer:

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... 0101763665

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... 0101763545

Here's a couple of re-wrapped items.  When I got them I could tell the wrap was not original.  Burn marks on the seams and just too much cover wear.  I did contact the seller and they were more than happy to give me refund half the price.  On X8 they said they forgot to change the condition from new to used.

I opened the modules today and they are both used.  X8 even has a detached and cut page.  My guess is they are a store that does their own re-wrapping in order to put their inventory label on the plastic.  In any event they need to indicate that the items are re-wrapped in their ad.
