This looks really awesome! Any way to add in games that were run at GenCon various years, however were not in the program guide?

Had four sessions of games that were pre-submitted in 2006, and ran the games, however they were not listed in the pre-reg book. This included 0D&D, as well as two Spycraft d20 sessions that I can remember offhand.

In 2007 I ran games as well, and again was not listed in the GenCon pre-reg guide, however I didn't submit my games by the pre-reg cutoff date becuase I was a bit miffed about not having my games included in the 2006 guide.

In 2008 I attended with a press pass, however ran at least two 0D&D games in the Sagamore Ballroom. I remember because it was the first time since 1980 that WOTC would allow me to run 0D&D games in the official D&D gathering area with 3e/4e games being run. I also playtested 4e that year.

We're just sticking to what's in the program guides/online guides for this.  Adding in other games that were run would muddy up things too much, not to mention there is no way we could account for all pick up games.

Question for you all. I'm going to be making up either a brochure or a postcard with some info on this project to hand out at 2018 gaming cons (I will be attending at least 6, including a booth at Gen Con) as well as some digital humanities conferences.  I'm having a difficult time deciding just what info to put on a small marketing piece like this.  If you didn't know about this project and picked up such a thing what would entice you to check it out once you got home?

Just a little news on this project.  I'll be presenting on it at two conventions this summer, the DH2018 conference in Mexico City and Keystone DH at Penn State.  I mention this because I hope it will stir up some more academic interest in this data and we can see some more interesting things come out of that.

I also put up a post last week about some analysis we did about women game masters based on the data from this project.  It's particularly timely with Gen Con announcing Sarkeesian as a guest of honor for this year.  I hope you all enjoy!

I am very glad we were able to put this together and now have a great data set to work with on this stuff.  I'll just paste the blurb I sent out below as well as our about page.

nesbit37,

The search function for the database (on this page: Blacklight) doesn't appear to be working. I keep getting an error message saying "We're sorry, but something went wrong."

Thanks, ill get it fixed. Check back in a day or two.

Also, fyi, I recently added in the events for 2018-2021. The only thing missing is the online games for 2021 since I had no way to scrape that data.

Just updated the site today.  I added in a 360 tour of Horticultural Hall, so go check it out if you've never been able to be inside of the space.

I've had these pictures since about 2017, I just didn't have a virtual tour platform to host them on until more or less today.

That is really cool.  How close is the current hall to when it was first used?  Curious how many times its been renovated if ever.
