Good question.  At this point, no.  This is, however, taking quite a bit longer than I imagined.   :?

I'd be fine discussing print number five. Given our track record and production time, I'd be ok getting on board for the next one - at least selecting the artist and getting in their queue. Sorry committee for putting in a claim on all your spare time :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Interesting thought.  Other people on the committee may think differently, but I prefer to take things one project/day at a time.  And it seems like whenever there's open discussion about which artist to pick, it's become increasingly difficult to narrow down the choices.  I think there's a good chance this next project will be the last.  If anyone wants to discuss that, let's not do it on this thread. 8)

Sorry folks, i am out from tbis project... Thanks for removing my name from the list. If this could help, you can tell Clyde that i do not like waiting for him. I understand he is the artist, but at the end of the day he is not Picasso... Come on...
Thanks and ciaoo

I will support whatever the committee wants to do.  Would LOVE to have Caldwell as the next artist, but how long are we suppose to wait.

It would be nice if there was some level of communication from the artist.

I would be interested to find out what the artist is actually saying regarding this extended delay. Is he just saying "ya, ill get to it?", not responding? Given even a rough time frame?

I don't get into that.  The artist is working directly with ScketreWhisp, and he'll tell me when we have something moving.   8)

Is it possible - to start on the next project - just a thought if this is taking a long time to process (artist to get inspiration etc) - maybe shortening the time - is it ask the next artist to say about their schedule - and commission a long side...

Don't get me wrong I am still on with this project - all for it - thank you to all concerned to getting it into place..

just a thought...

thank you for your time

Yours
Seany

Thanks for asking.  I was just thinking about this the other day.  I'll see if we have an update from the artist (not that I'm expecting anything).  Even an update could take a while, so don't hold your breath.  :?

Here's the reply from Clyde:

Hi Doug,

Glad to hear you're still interested in the painting.  Though I'm not quite ready to start your particular project, I am somewhat closer.  I'm finishing up a piece for another collector even as I type this.  I haven't gotten a great deal of work done on the commissions in the last year or so.  Regrettably progress has been slow.  I stopped adding people to my list and am now making a concerted effort to finish the commissions I'm already committed to do.

Thanks for your patience.  It is taking me longer than I had originally anticipated to get to your painting, but I will get to it ASAP.  Once again, sorry for the delay.

Foul

I have two take aways from his reply.  It sounds like it's gonna happen this year...maybe.  Also, if he's not taking any more commissions, then the artwork he is doing just increased in importance and value.  Seems like we hopped in at the right time.   We'll see.  8)

I hope that is the case.  He's one of my favorite artists, so really looking forward to his creation!

I would definitely be interested in this ... if there is still room to be added?
