I don't recognize this printing of B1.  What's that at the bottom-center of the cover?

This is the Games Workshop UK printing. That is the GW Fairy logo. It's worth more. I don't know how much more. ;)

This thing may get really ugly by the end.

4th print box set in that good of condition plus the 2nd edition Chainmail is pretty damn good condition too, consevatively I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it goes $500+.

Just my opinion, but the set isn't the gem of that auction. ;)

4th print box set in that good of condition

*g*. Where did 4th print come from, out of interest? ;)
Not that I'm not willing to be corrected, but...

I still ain't seen one of those, far less the mythical 25,000 copies which are stated to exist (a misinterpretation of the original quote).
The 4th- has a 1975 copyright line on the title page of "Men & Magic"- not 1974 per The Acaeum listing- in addition to the "Fourth Print - November 1975" line inside the cover.
Am sure the seller would have spotted either of those points, rather than listing it as a "first print" :)

The 5th print has major resetting work including returning the copyright date to 1974 in that volume (unless there was actually a 4th print during which this was done).

*g*. Doesn't sound particularly "conservative", that!

Took me several days to get the seller to detail those books which were affected by foxing and mention the printing issue. He just didn't want to believe me...

Is also being sold "as is", with no returns for any reason. Shouldn't be a problem, but still worth noting, IMO.
