These are RARE! What a collectors find!!!!! All are in EXCELLENT CONDITION.

question asked:
"...could you please confirm "excellent condition" with regards no toning on the covers (difficult to tell from the image), staple rust or spine creases. Am far from strict on condition myself, but always prefer not to be bidding against people who might have /too/ high expectations. (If that makes sense!)."

response received:
"It is always hard to rate collectibles. If you are concerned on the ratings, maybe you should not bid on these items. Thanks for asking"

They don't appear too bad, but looks like you'll have to guess that from the photo. Enjoy! :D

Yes, it was available seperately from the boxed set.

Seller has responded in public to my query about the correction and reference sheets. (Smart...).

Have re-sent my query regarding the condition to try to ensure a public response on that, too. ;)

For reference, the private reply was;
"Each booklet has some wear from handling. Vol 3 has some slight water damage on the top of the cover. The staples have just a bit of rust around the edges. Vol 1 has the corrections made with pen by the original owner in 4 places. Otherwise I don't see any writing, no bent/folded pages. The pages look nice and white with no yellow coloring".

(No further information on the box or other photos, yet. Anyone else have better luck?).

I guess he/she doesn't want to sell them very badly.

So he wants to sell them as "rare collectibles" and wants to say how excellent in condition they are...but wont back it up.

I think people shouldnt bid just out of spite for this seller being such an asshat.

It doesn't matter, Quiltmom has already staked her claim, they'll go for at least twice of what they are worth...

I've had two replies.  The first
freshlemons wrote:The booklet covers all have some wear from handling. Vol 3 has some slight water damage on the cover. Vol 1 has corrections made in pen in 4 places. Otherwise the rest of the pages in all 3 volumes are clean, tight and white. They don't really smell bad - but they do smell like they are 30 years old!

and the 2nd
freshlemons wrote:I had NO IDEA this item was worth good money, otherwise I would have given a highly detailed description! I will try and send some more photos.

Not sure what is meant by smelling like they're 30 years old but not smelling bad :? Musty/mildewy/moldy or maybe just old paper?

And it seems that the seller is implying that this wasn't relisted after seeing burntwire's auction.  That's quite a coincidence then!

5 days, 7 hours.  Might be a steal since the seller misspelled the title.

Nice lot including a 2nd print PH, apparently.  (Shipping all the other stuff I don't want would cost too much, so I'm not going for it) :)

I know I'm licking my own balls, but I really want these to go to someone who will appreciate them.

Hmmm, not sure about that.  I don't see any low impact yellow d4, orange d6, green d8, blue d12, and white or pink d20

<correction> I've just spotted a d4 and d12

It definitely is not lightweight for overseas, but I will use an M-bag if that is possible (and desired).
