*looks*

$205 still seems like a bargain to me.

Not when the seller offered it to me already for $60.00.

UK (GW) D2 & D3 (fairly rare, compared with the UK Gs... which are hardly "common" themselves)
- some faults, high postage and BIN, but worth a note anyhow, IMO. (UK sale)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5198293180
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5198295142
$16 & $18 start with ~6 days to go

German Polys plus a few other RPGA and TSR licensed items (UK sale)
- nothing overly cheap / postage high again, but "different";

*merf*. Wouldn't $200 have gotten their attention quicker?

(That was the seller's price then, not your offer? Poor sucker...)

Oh no, I just asked him if he had a BIN, and said "well, adding it up I would imagine that this lot could get around $150.00 individually, but I would be happy to see this auction go for $60.00." 8O Needless to say I responded immediately with a sure, that sounds pretty good to me, within 60 seconds of his email to me. Unfortunately for me he never got back to me as he must have jumped back online to and never saw my return email.

Needless to say, I am still pretty intent on winning this auction, but I guess it is going cost me a bit more than I had hoped.

8O indeed!

Hmm; could be, but that almost sounds as though they were asking what you were willing to offer.
Might still have been waiting for you...

(Personally, would've gone directly to $150 and asked them to keep the deadweight stuff as soon as the transaction had been accepted.
Academic point, phps, but there's rarely a "second chance" around here).

Yeah, I know that feeling only too well: when you think you've won an auction or done a deal, and something goes awry before it's complete (or even after that). :(
Possessiveness has a really bad habit of kicking in, then...

When attempting the BIN two step, you absolutely have to hold the seller's hand through the whole process.
Generally speaking, the seller who is open to a BIN is a novice - at least that is your hope - and you have to work hard to make the steal.
This lot was a steal at $200...and I am sure it will go for much more than that.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Look how close I came to not getting the tourney mod last year. We agreed on a BIN price and while I went to the park he just changed the auction to make it a BIN. Had to change my pants after I came back and saw it up there. It sat there for a good 45 minutes too.

Could've been right about that: wasn't just "offered" to yourself, either, although you may have been first.

(response from seller)
"I had offered it to a couple folks if they wanted to buy it now.
Unfortunately, after 10 bids, e-bay would not let me add the buy it now a 2nd time.
Then to top it off, several folks bid over the buy it now."

Eh, needless to say I am bit disapponited.  I was forced to place a bid myself last night after Mike(chromaticknight) bid, hoping the seller would just see my bid and close the auction. Looks like I am now going to have to dig deep to get it.

I had offered him 5 times that much. Probably why he decided to let it ride.

Well, No more fooling around with the kiddie bids in hopes of keeping it low. Not much more to do now except to wait around for a2jeff to come along and snipe me.

Look at it now, floating out there like a big, bloody carcass.  Won't be long before every shark in the ocean gets a whiff and comes circling in for a closer look...

You've certainly got a way with words, Stephen!

Wonder what the seller's thinking now...

=
aside: Heh. Am glad I didn't list that VF+ "Cavaliers & Roundheads" with the other items above.
Let it rest for a bit, then had a tilt at the seller just now (email -> BIN set -> completed purchase in under 20 minutes).
Was a fairly full price IMO ($53), but no complaints.

Am also waiting for /yet more/ stuff to pile in on that multi-box & Dragon CD auction;

And all I want is that white box: not even the books, just the box...
