Not sure why this particular seller was so successful. Even common books like 2e Elminster's Ecologies Vol 2 sold for 10x more than normal.  8O

Nope. They're hedging cos they know where the currency is headed.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

They'll use the games to bring back gold pieces from the land of Mystara, & gold is more valuable these days vs. currency. It sets up a triangular economic exchange, but the DM has to open up original shrinkwrap to cast the initial portal spell that gets the whole process going. Therefore, we should expect that prices for shrinkwrapped items will rise when the values of major world currencies fall.

It's only $208.33 apiece.  (And while it's of course a ridiculous price, kinda cool that there's twelve of them in shrinkwrap).

Shrinkwrapped items which are themselves shrinkwrapped? The calculation of value should be: new item value X shrinkwrap factor X shrinkwrap factor = more money than you can imagine. So $2499.00 is a bargain.

This is far beyond any reasonable multiplier:

From the Deities and Demigods, to items in shrink, to these dice; I think new posters are going to make fun of us for being short sighted in a few years.

But yea, this dice is stupid. :)

Edit: Remember when you could buy a white box set for less than this once dice?

I don't get this at all - is this in any way a notable die?

I'm not sure about the die above, but one of the rare/valuable dice was made using a pigment which can no longer be purchased by dice manufacturers because it is now used for making currency. So the pigment is unavailable either to prevent counterfeiting, or to prevent lucky money magic from causing the die to always roll 20s.

Missed the small print that said it comes with an ounce of gold.  PDT_Armataz_01_05

Serious question... Is it rare or something special this boxed set?
