Here's something that's bee n bugging me for a while. I knew there were two versions of the Deck of Magical Items (TSR 9423), which I now own:

Image

Contents seem to be identical. The box on the right has a 1994 copyright and is in the same layout than the other decks (Encounters 1&2, Psionic powers). The box on the left is a bit special though. It does not show the AD&D 2E logo at all. It is titled "The Official Dungeon Master Decks Game Accessory". Could it be that this box was inside a larger box, which I am missing? This theory is supported by the fact that the box on the left has a TSR sub-number: 9423XXX9403. Normally, these were given to items that were part of other items (such as maps in a boxed setting etc.).

Any information is appreciated!

The left box was part of this larger box set
