Well, I was half right.  The slowdowns have been caused by a meltdown with the Wiki -- the Wiki has been consuming all the server's CPU and memory, bringing things to a periodic halt.  I've disabled the Wiki while I investigate further.  (No data has been lost; I'm carefully backing everything up).

Whoa... turbo.  The forums are now operating faster than I've ever seen them.

If anyone encounters any strange forum errors today, please let me know ASAP.  I'm holding off on turning the power back on to the Wiki until I'm sure things are stable here.

Noticeable.

A couple of times in the last minute or so, I've gotten an "Internal Server Error 500" when loading the Forums list page from a new tab.

That may have been me, playing around some more.  Let me know if those errors continue.

OK, the Wiki is back up.  We'll see how this goes!  I changed the URL too, so update your bookmarks:  The Acaeum Wiki

Um, that's because you attempted to execute an HTTP REQUEST SMUGGLING ATTACK, grodog! Thankfully, my firewall intercepted you and prevented further damage.

I disabled that particular rule, so try 'er again.

Worked like a charm:  same post text accepted @ Re: Castle Zagyg, etc...

Thanks Scott!

I just got one of these errors when attempting to post a proposed Acaeum project idea about extended photography for the Second Alpha Print DMG (which I just bought with educated blind luck, and want to document before actually selling the thing).

Hi Paul,

Could you e-mail (or PM) me your current IP address, so I can check the logs and figure out what happened?

Will do---I attempted twice to send an email via Windows Mail, but not sure it was received. I will find my IP, then PM you with it since the email might inadvertently be blocked as well.

Stand by.

---Pauly

I've been getting periodic 503s recently, Scott.  I posted to the FB group, but it sounds like other folks were not getting them at the time:

- 8 October @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/Acaeum/ ... 573864731/
- 11 October @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/Acaeum/ ... 7910160864

E-mail me your IP address and I'll take a look if the firewall is triggering.

I’m getting an error message saying the certificate for Complinix.com cannot be verified. I’d e-mail but don’t have access right now.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.
