Yeah, it seems early to be thinking next year already.  But for those not on the GaryCon boards, the convention dates have finally been set at March 27 to 30, 2014.  There are only 85 hotel rooms in the block reserved for all four days, so anyone thinking of going may want to make their reservations soon.  I have.   :D

I've taken the family to the last two GaryCons and we've had a great time. We won't be able to make it this year, as it conflicts with the due date for another mini-mancer that's on the way.  :D

If baby arrives early I might head up with my son for the day (or two).

"Sorry, dear, but I've got to go to play some games . . . ."   8O

Yeah, maybe not the best idea.

Congratulations, Jeremy.  Perhaps you and the Ligbaby can make it to NTRPGCon?

Room booked.

I'm planning to run Aliens (assuming I drive up; I can't bring it if I fly), my expanded version of S4 Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, and perhaps another Castle Greyhawk level or two.  Jon and I haven't planned our events out yet, but will start working on that soon now that we have final dates.

Forgot to note that I also booked my room right after Mark posted. I saw the original post and used Siri on my drive home from work to quickly get my room. They have less than 90 rooms for a convention that has 500+ attendees. Sure, many live in the Chicago or general area and I did not want to miss out.
Pacesetter will be there with a secret Gary Con exclusive release as well as a general adventure release from the 2014 product line. I will be running a playtest of another future release - most likely the A3 module. If I can swing it, I will run another event which will be in the "to be determined" slot for now.

I feel lucky to have gotten rooms at all.

I am pleased to see it fill up so quickly after all the silence regarding when it would start. The best thing about GaryCon for me is that it is a living memorial to Gary Gygax. I was shocked how true that was at my first one in 2012 and again in 2013.

It would have been a shame if it hadn't of happened in 2014.

But it is. See all of you there :)

Zach

They're selling two types of registrations right now, Early Bird and Platinum.  The Early Bird price expires November 30.  The Platinum badges -- which get you the maximum number of points to sign up for games -- are limited in number (though they didn't say how many).  Other options (Copper and Silver?) will become available once the Early Bird option expires.  So if you want the early price or most games, don't wait.
