This is certainly quite a price (though it wont sell). Maybe with the paucity of 50th anniversary stuff this year - its a good time to liquidate spares from past celebrations?

The Dragon magazines #1-5 individually listed auctions on eBay. #1 is a 5-day auction and the others are 3-day... with issue #2 having less time left than the others:

It's all in shrink wrap so you won't be able to read the books, which in this case makes it a better deal ;-)

Notice the seller mentions "collections" not collection. That is not everything there is for 4e (which is what is being implied). But by using collections, that is then a subset of the whole. It is of course overpriced even for what is there.

Shrink is not a condition
