This is interesting...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Is this how it was originally bound (comb binding)?

Yes, it had the comb binding.

I don't think this is anything special.  It looks like it's the game book from the boxed set.  It might have been purchased separately too.

Thanks Doug.  I was wondering why it was still at $35 with no bids and I think I've only seen the chain mail booklet with this type of binding.

It also indicates it is missing pages. But as to the comb binding, that is what it is supposed to have. On the broader issue I probably have 100 items that are spiral bound. Early Tunnels & Trolls items were often spiral bound.

Not the rarest items of the Gazetteer series, but here is a trio in some well worn SW.  They look to be banged up a bit.

That's a really good deal regardless.  The seller also has the "Make Offer" option available.

The SW on GAZ 7 is fully open though.

Indeed, $50 bucks a piece was too good to be true.  They got snapped up very quickly.  The power of posting here maybe?    8)

The dreaded 666th post!

Is $40 a piece pretty cheap now? Only record I have was for a full set sold two years ago.

Yes, that was a good deal.  These all appeared to be in really nice condition.  Occasionally they will sell for around this price, but their condition is usually worse.  In this condition, they will often sell for closer to $100.

Thank you, that's more in line with a past result.

Guess just a rough week on these / Yay to whoever got a deal!

Wow that’s in bad condition.
Still, I’m sure someone would be willing.
What was it Richard Hammond said? “Go ugly early.”

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

This set looks to be complete and in nice condition.

** expired/removed eBay auction **

It has been a while since I've looked at its contents but it really is packed with some nice stuff.  When it was release, I think it was only $60 bucks.  I see several auctions stating 2nd edition however nothing in the box is 2nd edition.

Out of the 5,000 they made, I would love to know the percentage that are still whole.  I imagine it could be quite low.

I lucked out on an L3 for 20 bucks on ebay a year ago. Also got a sealed box set for ~$400 maybe 2 years back.

I've seen a few up since then and I think I had seen as many sealed as opened - so i think relatively high # of sealed ones.
