This is clearly a POD book. But the seller doesn't state it anywhere.  Buyer beware.

And the seller says there are "issues" with it. I bought mine for a fraction of this price. I would say he is about 10 times too high since it has issues.

Umm, no. Nor have I used the beach towels. They are perfect now, but one little bit of moisture and they are ruined. Other than the orc meat, the towels have to be the worst licensed product made (considering that people probably thought they could actually use the product, as opposed to their seating in a cedar chest, only coming out for viewings like the Shroud of Turin, which they are thinner than).

Maybe my brain is playing tricks on me, but has this been up for sale before? The stone bookends (pic 6 & 7) look familiar...

I think this lot is all of them correct? 18 mini books and sets in total.  2k for the lot is not unreasonable.

Not sure if complete but feels cheap. Definitely think you could piece it out for a 50% profit pretty easily.

I have a couple and tbh I am not sure how long they'll hold value - longer term.

I've had most of the books at one point or other, and the basic and expert set. I always ended up selling them on, because they were just too gimmicky for me to take any pride in having them in my collection, and they have no practical use whatsoever. Now if you're looking at $100+ a pop, unless there is a solid case that these will increase in value with same surety as other more widely collected products in similar condition, I'd say they are over priced and the downside risk far outweighs the upside risk when compared to most places you can place your money in the collection markets we look at.

I can see how/why some collectors accumulate a dozen woodgrains or 1st print PHBs. If I wanted to be sure my $2K was still going to retain the same value a decade from now, I'd place it in something I understand and can be sure in my own mind is not going to lose value. To my mind a collection of signed PHBs has a greater potential of prospective buyers in the future, a greater chance of returning the same or more value to my collection, and more liquid. The only advantage I see outside of the cute gimmick factor or the need to complete once you have everything else, is that they don't take up much space.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

There are 13 mini books and 7 mini boxes plus perhaps the Ruins of Myth Drannor mini box that a European based contributor showed a picture of. Plus of course the two Dragonlance boxes with DL1-8 in one and DL9-16 in the other.

No Dragonlance or Greyhawk hardcovers.
Is it possible Myth Drannor was something only available in small quantities local to the original launch site?

Collector Grail?  I would normally chuckle at this price, but now I'm not so sure.  8O
