Better to wait until the item is in-hand before posting about the purchase.  Just a good practice, as you never know what some people will do.

Hope it's just a mix-up and you receive it.

shadeun wrote in Interesting Items Currently on eBay:For those who are interested. The seller seems to have flaked and refunded me after I asked for the item. Claim they sent it but not receipt as dont have it. But i've not had many royal mail delays (at least not 2 week ones domestically). Dodgy stuff. oh well.

I will give them a very bad review - and i suppose thats all i can do.

Hoping for the best but I imagine the weight of an offer for at least 10x your win was probably too much to say no to.  The fact he refunded your money so quickly tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

Seller placed on my avoid list.

Geeze…. Perhaps their name needs to be added to the list of shady dealers?

Certainly sounds like someone’s weighed in heavy after the sale finished. Hopefully not a regular contributor here, but maybe a lurker or just someone who was watching it and missed the end of the auction

That went higher than I thought it would given the current understanding of the product being missing it's foil stamped folder, and the easy availability of a genuine later print for $20 or so.

It is also a testament to the development of digital photography over the past decade or so, that the photo represents the actual colour used for the cover sheet. The scans I have seen, and the eBay photos from yesteryear, do not pick up the yellow correctly, so presumably this is a step forward in the accuracy of digital sensors to correctly mimic human perception of colour.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

If an Acaeum member won this auction, can you PM once you receive to discuss?  I'd like to know if it's complete.  Would also like to know if it came with the original bag.  It's hard to tell from the not so great pics and basic description.  The seller didn't do themselves any favors with this listing.

I guess the entire catalog is fair game for reprints.

I don't think there's anything there that you couldn't pick up in a second hand games store, and the majority of the products look 'well played with'.
Maybe a few hundred bucks worth, but the seller seems to be really taking the piss IMO.

Yup, but I've seen smaller lots (in the 20 item range) do quite well.  So they might be better served with breaking it down and putting some of the more desirable items mixed in with the lesser stuff.

Tbf, the seller appears to be a library, rather than a private seller, so possibly just clearing their shelves.

They have D&D in libraries in the US?  8O
That would have been so cool if we could have read modules without having to buy them in the UK when I was a kid.
