Howdy, guys!  This is a strange question, but I have my reasons.  Do any of you know what are the fonts used by TSR in the 1st Edition AD&D modules and the original rule books, both on the covers and interior text?  Industry standard names and type sizes would be great.  I've done a google.com search but it comes up with various fantasy fonts that you can download, but no info on what was actually used by TSR.  Thanks,  John

I think this is what you're looking for:  Yahoo! GeoCities: Get a web site with easy-to-use site building tools.  They don't offer the fonts for download, but they at least tell you what they are (and what fonts are a close match).

The TSR Fonts page is gone now that Geocities is nuked.

Scott, any chance you'd be able to host a .pdf of that page, to help folks ID fonts as needed:  http://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/te ... ts_faq.pdf

Allan, you ruined the surprise!  Last month I used the Wayback Machine to rescue the page, and it'll be hosted in the Library here with the next site update (which will be soon).

Sorry about that Scott; and, actually, someone else pointed out on ENWorld that the page does in fact have a new host @ TSR & WotC Font FAQ

It also great to hear we'll have another update soon!:  will my Dragon/Dungeon mailing covers/wrappers appear this time? :D :D

may or may be of interest, as I don't think these are actual TSR or others fonts, but I like to use these for printing as they give a nice authentic theme for dwarven runes or similar

Font names -
Avalon Quest
Tengwar Quenya
AngloSaxon Runes

These were all free downloads from somewhere on the web.
