SW Chainmails aren't common, but I've sold six of them this year. I think I saw one or two other copies as well. They went for roughly $30-$50 each.

The six you sold were all bought by you in one transaction were they not?

Yes it was a good find. My point though was that because you sold six in one year, from a buy where you got all six at once, does not exactly lend support to its rarity or not. I know it is not super rare but your six could just as easily been one.

Fair enough (and actually, it was eight, but who's counting). Anyway, the seller is suggesting they are "ultra rare", and that you won't find another copy in that condition, which is complete hyperbole. He also goes on to state that he paid twice what he's asking for it, which would only indicate he's quite unsavvy about this sort of thing. He seems to think overly highly of his S&S, too. :wink:

You know that acution right there is a Prime example why I now snipe on items that I really want.  That newbie was going to outbid ifearyeti, no matter what. Ifearyeti's bid could have been 3 times as much as it was and that newb was going to outbid him. I mean, I know your new and all, but when I was newer I was a lot more hesitant that I am today.  I just didnt jump into some bidding war for hundreds of dollars without figuring out first what the hell I was doing.  It cost me a lot of auctions, but I to me that is the only way to do it.
