Okay, it makes you wonder where the hell people get this stuff:

Dungeon Masters Guide 1st Edition | eBay

Do people just make this kind of crap on the fly to try and make their auction more interesting or is it me? :?

Ahh, you refer, of course, to the infamous "naked DMG" a thankfully shortlived edition with some VERY dubious artwork ;)

Christ, they make your eyes hurt if you look at them too long. :?

Aww. Give the guy a break. He's selling off his life long collection and his hands are shaking. It can be really emotional parting with D&D stuff.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Pokemon 1st Edition Basic | eBay

I don't know anything about Dunegons and Dargons either.  :D   But it is a very clean basic set for anyone who might want one.

Ad&d Miniatures | eBay

His description says "Trust me, you wont find a sealed Chainmail".  If I am not mistaken there have been numerous SW copies up on Ebay in the last several months.  I think maybe he needs to keep his collection and get a job to pay his tuition instead.  :P

SW Chainmails aren't common, but I've sold six of them this year.  I think I saw one or two other copies as well.  They went for roughly $30-$50 each.

The six you sold were all bought by you in one transaction were they not?

Yes it was a good find. My point though was that because you sold six in one year, from a buy where you got all six at once, does not exactly lend support to its rarity or not. I know it is not super rare but your six could just as easily been one.

Fair enough (and actually, it was eight, but who's counting).  Anyway, the seller is suggesting they are "ultra rare", and that you won't find another copy in that condition, which is complete hyperbole.  He also goes on to state that he paid twice what he's asking for it, which would only indicate he's quite unsavvy about this sort of thing.  He seems to think overly highly of his S&S, too.
