Any idea how one would go about doing that. Even the industrial office grade hole punches would not work. Some drill or mechanical dye punch?

I was wondering that myself, although looking at how awful the holes are I would say it was a drill. 8O

Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Players Handbook | eBay

As this a very rare American printing, I might just be tempted by that £74.99 BIN  8O

Then again, you never know.  Someone could well buy into this....  Hey, it might even be that ever so rare 5th printing I've been looking for...

How freaking stupid can people get.
You may not realize it, but auctions like that are an insult to people. What the seller is saying is "Soemwhere out there, there is probably someone stupid enough to buy this at that price". That is terribly insulting, and REALLY aggravates me.

Heh, reduced it by $50.00. Seems like finding the ceiling on the totally undervalued RPG market isnt as easy as it seems. I guess maybe we are all not so stupid after all. :P

$30.00?! $9.50 shipping?! :x That deserves consdieration for the silliest auction price of the year. If that thing sells, I am going to start selling used toilet paper for $20.00. :x

Spotted that too.  But only because I was hoping that his other items might be ADD1E c.1978/9 and perhaps hint at a 1st printing of sorts alpha/beta/gamma/delta/epsilon/zeta/eta/.../omega - I've lost track).  Optimistic?!?

Probably reaching there. :)  I can tell you for sure that is not a 1st printing, but it could possibly be somewhere in the 2nd printings. It wouldn't hurt to ask, although even if it has the MM pages bound into it, in that condition it probably isnt even worth the $30.00, let alone the amount it would cost it would be to ship it out to you if he is charging $9.50 for US shipping.  Lookig at the condition of it, I would say the likelyhood of it being a DMG with MM pges is exceedingly unlikely based on the fact that in most people's minds, that DMG with MM pages in it is a defective book missing material and so it should not have seen that much usage.
