Just a guess, but I think they might have been inspired by this one (albeit naively):

That guy actually emailed me his auction link. He must have saw that crazy ealier auction for the 2nd print PHB and the 1st print DMG and doesnt know the difference.

IMHO, he knows pretty well the difference - and twisting the meaning of the words to his advantage - just look at the listing. I find it misleading.

He says sixth printing of the PHB, and first edition of the DMG. If he's aware of the printing of the PHB enough to write it down on the description of the object, he should have been of the DMG too, isn't he?

I generally think for the better about people, but here - as we say in Italy - I feel a rather smokey smell...

Yeah, points for effort if nothing else (doesn't even look like a classic MM shambling mound!).

Hahaha,

I saw that one a day ago as well. Thought about e-mailing the guy whether he was willing to 'split' the lot, but then decided it was way too much trouble. Or can I interest anybody in a ludwig drumset?;)

I'm just curious how he intends to ship all those books AND the drumset for only $25.  =)

Take a look at this exhaustive and over-padded description.  Might want to scoot your chair back a few feet.
