Yeah, I thought it might not be either.  It's probably that triple strength Type VI demon dude (or something like that, I'm too lazy to actually look through the module).

But, just calling him Orcus seemed easier . . .  :P

I love it!

Did anyone else click on the link for the devastating review?

I would have bid on the auction if the shipping were $5.

I've been looking for a copy of this but I don't know if I want to pay the $10 shipping either.

I haven't been looking for a copy but the game sounds so hokey I want it.

I told the seller to send me an offer of $5.01 total if he could not sell it for $10.01....in case you want to out-offer me.

If I manage to sell this book higher than my toilet paper I will be very surprised... if you wish it please bid a single dollard on it ... Still it will be very painful to get rid of this highly priced and rare collector item ...

The seller's answer.

I have never seen a review of Synnibar that was positive, and I thought that it was infamous (at least in the US) for being worst RPG ever written.  Writing and publishing an RPG takes cojones, and being the worst RPG must be a badge of honor, if not collectibility.   :D

Synnibar was written by someone affiliated with the Wonderworld Comics from FormCritic's neck of the woods.  Wonderworld published it.  I am surprised that Mark S. hasn't seen a copy, as there should be plenty at HPB stores in the Seattle-Tacoma area.   :D

An ex-gf of mine worked at Wonderworld and said that the author (Raven McCracken) was a local person that did visit Wonderworld.

I love this sentence from the review:

It is the Antichrist of role-playing games.

Sounds pretty damn bad to me.

Some info on the author of the game, Raven McCracken (and an actual picture of the guy) can be found here (you'll have to scroll down a bit):

Pretty fun, actually.

If you wanted it badly enough, Wonderland has 6 sets of the two Synnibar books:

Alas, Synnibar might have killed collecting in Seattle.

Wonderworld is now only a warehouse stuffed so full I doubt the owner will ever be able to sell it all.  (I visited it in what turned out to be maybe its last month in existence...the store was jammed so full of overpriced game items that the store workers could barely move.)  American Eagles is in Lynnwood...a large store area but a shell of its former self...with a back room full of discounted TORG items.  Gary's, in Greenlake, is still running but they don't have a strong customer service ethic.

It does not surprise me that a game system apparently full of confusion and misguided and half-baked ideas derived from the Seattle metropolitan area.  "Confusion, misguided and half-baked ideas" also nicely describes Seattle itself.

I hope that the minis haven't been modified to created such a beastie, though that creature would be quite a sight to behold.
