OK, this is in German, but it's a complete rip-off auction, so I had to post it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 67953&rd=1

This is the Dragonlance minibox. There is a hint in very small letters that says, it is "in small, handy format". LOL! This is some evil shit!

BTW, for these prices it also qualifies for the "silly auction price" thread.

Tsk, tsk, tsk ...

I take it this guy is sort of infamous here at The Acaeum? I've only been using the forums for a few days now, but his name (or user ID, I guess) keeps popping up.

A few months ago, I was trying to fill in some gaps in my collection, and this guy just kept killing me. Typically, I would set up a snipe and find out later that my bid didn't even get in because this Cougar guy had proxied it up to about twice as much as I was willing to pay. I basically had to work around him; it took weeks and weeks.

From lurking on the forums for a while, I'm guessing my story is fairly typical. Anyone got a minute to spare to fill me in on this guy's background? Or what his motivation was for outbidding me about four times for a decent copy of A1?

He's a UK reseller with questionable ethics. Currently, he's disliked by many collectors because he tries to corner the market on H1. Luckily, he's been totally unsuccessful, so far.

Has anyone attempted to "convert" him by inviting him to join the Acaeum?  For some reason I find myself cursing his name for no other reason than that he outbids me.

When Acaeum members outbid me, I don't seem to mind...Aneoth is off my "curse list" since he joined, for example.  :D Or maybe I'm the only one that feels this way.

I highly doubt he would fit in. He doesn't collect, he resells, and does it poorly.
I'd snipe the coupons, but I'd be worried about winning. My kid has grown out of diapers, and I haven't worn them in 36 years, with the exception of a drunken Saturday night incident some years back. I WOULD be happy to snipe some of the items he's bidding on,  just to drive the prices up.
