"You are bidding on a lot of loose female gladiators . . ."

And, yes, the description actually says that.

"AN ORIGINAL DEFIANTLY NOT A PHOTOCOPY"

Snicker, Snicker!  Here's someone's Q and the seller's answer.  I know I personally am hoping to learn the "Old West methodology of solving conflicts", could come in handy next time there's a big sale at Gymboree.

Q: 1) You listed this Role-playing game in a boardgame section dedicated to wargames 2) Why is homeschool in the title of the auction? I can see no relation but am very curious.

A: The intro booklet states: These rules are aimed at enjjoyment on a plane unusual to wargaming. Rather than commanding hordes of troops, players recreate individual gunfights, saloon barrels, and Wild West action as handed down from the pages of history. As far as adding homeschool, I felt that though it may not be for everyone, it would be a strategy learning tool for those interested in the Old West methodology of solving conflicts....Thanks, Janet

This sounds like the perspective of a non-roleplaying gamer "discovering" role-playing.  Send them a note on D&D, we might gain a convert!  :)

despite the price (which would allow a post in the silliest price topic too) i love the guy who wrote the description in here:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

...he's a poet!!!

This is an original collectors book by Gygax and Arneson (published by TSR) copyrighted in 1974 and is volume 1 of 3 booklets. It has 34 pages, is complete and the condition is probably almost new. The cover has a small mud stain near the bottom (see picture) but I will leave that to be cleaned by the collector. This book is so rare it is probably worth thousands rather than hundreds so there is potential here for a serious profit to be made. I just want this (and the other 3 original books) to go to someone who will be able give them a place of better adoration (I have too many kids and pets). This book, as part of a set, is probably the starting point of ALL role games of this day and age. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to a museum.

Thousands?  Good news boys, we're all rich!   Particularly the white box castle king, if he ever returns.

Almost posted this in the Shady Dealers thread:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

"this is a 3rd edition 1979 printing of the original basic boxed set basic book.It is in good condition .it may have a name inside cover.staples may be a tad rusty.solid though"

And then there's a picture of a Lizard Logo blue rulebook (which has to be 1st or 2nd print).

If you are going to nick a picture, at least get the right printing. AND STATE THAT IT IS A STOCK PHOTO.

Maybe more like "Many of these [AD&D/Judges Guild] things are like each other!" It seem like this seller's got at least three different auctions going on, almost identical to each other.  One has "19 modules", the next has "18 modules", the third has "19 modules"; mostly the same things . . .  :?:  :?:

Check the item #'s (haven't learned how to set up a direct link yet--sorry   :( ):
** expired/removed eBay auction **
,
** expired/removed eBay auction **
, and
** expired/removed eBay auction **
.  It's either trying to run three auctions on the same materials or he's implying he's got three copies of many--if not all--of these modules. :?:  :?:

fencert has many copies of these.  I'm not sure what he has left these days but I bought a whole whack of stuff from him about 4 years ago and he's been constantly selling them since.
