How about the 'FRIEND FOLIO'?  Not once has a Githyanki ever asked to be my friend!!!

And from the same seller, 3-hole-punched DMG and PHB.  I guess he really liked the Monstrous compendium format.

Hey now...that was kinda fun!  At least for a little while anyway...until my head started hurting.

So here is a couple of laughable item descriptions...has nothing to do with D&D but I cannot believe the seller of this auction and several others like it is actually sane.  8O

Now that is laughable in a good way!

The listing is a must-read, too. My favorite part is the joke that comes out of nowhere:

The funny turd listing wrote:This lady walks into the bedroom carrying a duck.
Her husband is in bed.
"This is the pig I've been screwing"
The husband says: "That's a DUCK!"
I was talking to the duck, she replied.

Putting that into a listing with a BIN of $4,500 takes some guts, for sure.  8O

Uhm. A 2% share in case these two guys find the Holy Grail. Considering no one has found it for centuries, I think it would be a hazardous deal.

Hum, we could do something similiar.. We could search for Gygax's first woodgrain boxset and sell shares to those who want to sponser the effort.

What is hilarious is that they are "seasoned" hunters. Wouldn't that imply past successes?
I'm a seasoned Quest for the Golden Orb Hunter myself. Been hunting for ages.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... egory=2545

I just wanted to point you back to this finished auction.

"Laughable" as it apparently sounded, my Buy-It-Now offer of $20 was in fact very close to the final price for this item.  It did not sell for anything near the $75 or $100 figures that were mentioned by others here.

I based my offer on what the lot was likely to go for and what the seller's previous lots had sold for.

If the seller had not bumbled about Ebay, making snotty remarks he could easily have sold these separately for more than he got.

If he had chosen not to snub me...no matter how rude I apparently was...and had taken my suggestion of making a counter-offer, he probably would have gotten more money.

But, I'll also know how to handle it better next time.
