A slight off-topic lurch: I just reminded myself of the recent Penny Arcade strip where one of the characters eliminates eBay and just buys a real, live WoW gold-farmer.

Okay, back to our regular mocking of listings ...

He probably got the idea from the gold-farming listings for World of Warcraft. Most of those use soft-core pornography for their photos.

There's a scam in there somewhere ... my guess is it's an attempt to get some coin for some fairly common items in thrashed shape.

My question for the seller: "You realize it would take about 2.8 seconds to copy your 'detailed list' into the actual auction, don't you?"

Geez, I was a lot nicer than that:

I just asked:

"Is she still in the original shrinkwrap?"

and

"If I win the girl do I also get the underwear?"

Not really a laughable description, but just a strange unintended D&D / Star Wars crossover.  I guess the early 80's were a much less litigious era.

Player:  "I jump up and grab my sword.  Can I see anything?  Is a daylight?"

DM:  "Roll d24 to find out what time of day it is".  Evil Grin

Player:  "Come on 10 am!  Damn, 19:00 o'clock . . . wait, I wasn't in the military . . . what time is that?  Is it still light out?"  Hold's breath
