The singular of "rice" is -- well, it's a trick question, there isn't really one.  It can be assumed to be "rice", though.  The collective plural of rice is "rices".

Why is this different than "mouse/mice/mice", as I posited earlier?  Didn't I already said the -s shouldn't be there?  Why am I making a 180?  It's only one letter different!

Simple.  Semantic pressure.  It's far more semantically ambiguous to have identical forms than not.  The language is attempting to differentiate by adding -s to collective noun plurals where it can do so unopposed.  The existence of a non-collective plural in "mice" can prevent this from happening, but "rice" has no such non-collective counterpart and so is caving to this pressure, at least in some dialects.

(I would say "mooses", "rices", and "beers" -- in the collective sense only, of course.  I would never say "dices" or "mices".)

And yes, I'm making it up as I go along.  That's what linguists do, and why English teachers hate us so.

Yeah, you can BIN for $300 and it retails for $600 (according to the description).  What a bargain!  You got to be kidding.  Just when you thought you've seen it all...

That's the great thing about art.  It's subjective, so you can try to charge whatever you want.  Unfortunately, the best way to make money with art is to fail your system shock roll.  Should put more percentile dice on there...

I love this part of the description:  "Heavy bracelet, feels great on your wrist!"

Carpal tunnels and trolls anyone?

$300 for a dice bracelet. What are the odds they will find someone stupid enough to buy it? Can anyone be that dense and still remember to breathe occasionally?

If it were $30, and a lot less crowded with the dice, I can actually see someone buying it.  But this seller's just gone stupid with greed.  It's a fairly common phenomenon on eBay.

Especially considering they're buying lots like this, drilling holes in the dice, and trying to make well over 1000% profit:

It's a cursed item.

Manacles of Free Will. Not!

Whenever an important decision needs to be made, the wearer of the Manacles must make a numbered list of possible choices. The ultimate decision is then randomly chosen from the list by the Manacles. The only way a person can rid themselves of the Manacles is by selling them on e-Bay for a higher price than what they paid.

Obviously it has changed hands many times.

Not a laughable item description, but a laughable bidder's name on the bidders list here!  (see the $15.13 bid)

eBay.com Item Bid History

Could be a tactic that works out in this person's favor.  Would *you* want to bid against that!?!
