Do you also sometimes find eBay RPG auctions with grotesque or overstated item descriptions? Funny spelling errors? I'd love to see those funny auctions.

Here's something I found right now. A Greyhawk supplement "not mint, but in very good shape!". Now imagine what it looks like and see the scans to judge for yourself.

Here's one that made me chuckle:

I like the "special dice in a little furry bag"   :D

I clicked on your link without seeing your third line, and  "the little fury bag" line made me laugh out loud as well.

I just asked the guy to describe the condition of his copy of Men & Magic, since my copy of Men & Magic has some damage.  Hopefully it's in better shape than the Greyhawk.

Nothing beats an older auction that someone noted on here.  The seller revised the thing, but for about a day, a 2E Thief's Handbook had a really good description:

"Book."

Really useful, don't you think?

Okay, so maybe I am being a little "adolescent" about this - but, I still can't help laughing.  I get so wrapped up in my little world of RPG's that I forget people will buy and sell anything on eBay.

I am bidding on this item - however, it is when you view the sellers other items that the humor comes in.

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... 5931730589

It's not so much the fact that they are for sale, or that one of the kits appears to be more desireable than the others.  But, the sentence in all the descriptions:  " I would go so far as to say this was used." has me in stitches.

"Hey, did you see that B.F. Goodrich enema kit for sale on eBay?"

"Yeah, but it looks kind of new - I bet it hasn't really been put into actual use"

"No, that's the beauty - it looks new, but the seller suspects that it has been used before".

"Sweet!  Let me get my snipe set up."

:D

would that qualify as a "near mint" enema kit?  :P

Ewwwwww! My other favorite quote from those is "The rubber and hose are very subtle." What's "subtle" about an enema?  8O

Hey, it may be used, but that just proves it works.
I think it's a shitty deal, myself.

More hilarious is a eBayer with under 90 percent feedback and only 14 trade partners, selling enemas, commenting on other peoples "yuck feedback" in their sale.

Perhaps I should keep an eye on those.  They look to be in decent shape.

Marvillas is selling "Book" again.  If you don't have this hard to find accessory, I suggest you get one now!

Hehe!  I was wondering if anyone was going to notice that - I've also been selling "adventires" (sacred wheels, anyone?) and "nodules" (anti-biotics might help), along with "sorcebooks" (material components not included) and "icemerp" (which sounds rather painful).  I'm on a roll ...
