Just came across copies #7 and #8 on my shelf, signed in green felt tip pen by Rob, accompanied by the Dear Valued Patron letter that included scans of Rob's original hand-written notes for Bottle City and the large format reproductions of Rob's original hand-drawn maps in color.  Does anyone know how these "patron's copies" differ from the copies sold by Noble Knight?  I also have one of the latter, and the map sheets are folded to fit with the RJK-1 book, but I haven't unfolded the maps to compare them to the large-format maps with the patron's copies.

The difference between those copies and what NK sells is yours have a #7 and #8 and a Dear Valued Patron Letter.

There was only ever 1 printing of the book so all versions have the same book.

And with the maps folded more times in the NK version too, then, I suppose.

I am very sure that this has all been covered before in a previous thread.
The one where we were waiting for a long while for this and other items to be shipped.

Anyway, I purchased two sets of each version and later sold one of each.
Still have one of each to compare for you folks.
My copies are Green #11 and Black #145.

Although the books are indeed the same;  the Valued Patrons letter and green ink (signature/number) are not the only differences in the two versions.
Both versions smelled of cigarette smoke, though not badly now as time has greatly reduced the odor.

Valued Patron copies:
Valued Patron signed letter.
Map size is:  21" x 26" and is a single folded sheet printed on thick high-gloss paper.
The books and maps are both signed on the back in green ink with the same matching number.
Several zeroxed pages of the original manuscript, and a typed transcription of the original manuscript with explanations of various points.
These papers were not included with the version below.

Other copies:
Map size is: 17" x 22" (combined size) and is in two pieces each folded in half and was printed on thin non-gloss paper.
The book is signed (and numbered) in black ink, the map is not signed.

I've got green #9, and barely a whiff of smoke remains. Maybe I should send it back to be recharged?   :P

From what I've read, isn't the smoke smell a sign of authenticy that it is from Rob?

Thanks, John.  Now I remember, and this jives with what I've got.

The transcription file was a free download from the PPP web site, and was available via the link/password in the final paragraph of the module.  So, it's available from both the standard and limited editions.

Yes, but the notes were not.

Does anyone remember how many of the LE were printed? My copy is #33 - on the booklet Rob has signed and numbered the book in the space on the back, which also has "/500" printed. I can't imagine 500 LE copies were printed - I seem to recall it was about 50 or thereabouts?

Regards
Mike

Mine is around #300 or so.  I think 500 is probably correct.

...
Green #43, felt-tip ink on the module and map.

Back of the module and the map both have "RJK-1", "#43", and Rob's signature.

Map size is  21" x 26" and, as mentioned above, is on thick high-gloss paper.

I do not have a Valued Patron letter :-(

That's interesting.  Did you contribute financially to the project?

I think so, but I guess I cannot say with 100% certainty.

I make it a point to do so whenever I can, but it's been quite a while; maybe I didn't for this effort.

Just of curiosity what's the non-limited run worth of this module? I have #200 of #500.

A copy of the limited edition sold in the last Collectors Trove auction for a bit over $100.
