I was watching this one, but have two sets already. The fact that it was signed made it tempting, but have my sights set on some items I don't have, so need to keep my powder dry  PDT_Armataz_01_36

I'll probably end up the 2nd highest bidder as usual though  PDT_Armataz_01_05

Even with the water damage, that's a pretty cheap price.  There aren't more than a handful of To the Aid of Dwarves known.

Agreed, it seemed a worthwhile risk.

Why is it that I only forget to bid on the items I've been trying to find for >5 years, that end up selling for <$20, and that I would've bid obscenely to get?

Is it because part of you *loves* the search more than the capture :)?  Every time this happens to me, I say that to myself and it makes me feel *slightly* better, lol.

Lot of stuff I've sold on ebay I see in those RPG Auction Facebook groups. I even had a guy tell me he was going to sell my stuff in that group!

I post items for sale in those groups and they get some likes. No bids.

Yeah, I've watched a couple of items eBay just to see what they sold for and later on saw them again in the group. Usually starting price at 3-4 times what they went for in the eBay Auction. I'll add that I'm not saying that as a criticism. To me it's no different than picking up something originally at a garage sale. Fortunately I haven't been beaten in an eBay listing only to see it come up later on FB.

If the Arduin did show up on there, I'm sure it would sell for over a $100 but I'm not going to pay that - not in that condition. Still I think that's the first one I've seen for sale that was a True First. But I've only been looking for a few years.

Yeah, that group seems kind of cliquish in my opinion. I think it has some buyers on there with pretty deep pockets that don't really mess around much on eBay too. Which is fine in that regard. But some sellers do seem to do better on there than others, but I haven't been on there long compared to eBay so what do I know.

Oh, #500 - that's cool   8)

This group is for the Hinsons (and their RPG Crate biz). No volunteers allowed.

I was a member. Posted links to Acaeum data so buyers could educate themselves.
They refuse to permit such things. All Acaeum links were summarily deleted.

Not a member now. Don't care what 'great deals' I miss in this private club.

Um... no.... It's not worth $100, and wouldn't sell for even that on the FB page.

The Arduin modules were selling for around $30 at the Gencon Auction. I believe there were 3 of them... average price...

I'm probably being a fool to disagree with you. Definitely the 2nd version of the Espinoza cover gets less than that and if it had staple rust like this one does, it would be a hard sell for even half that. But I've seen several of the 2nd version Otus cover get well over $30 and like I said I've never seen a 1st version sell (or even be offered) until this one. I think one of the big sellers on there could pump that up and get a bite for a $100 or so. I think it was Gabe on there not long ago put up the 2nd Espinoza set in shrink and got either $175 or $250. I picked up one a couple of months later for $60 on eBay. It's definitely worthwhile to sell rarer items in that Group, and this is one of the rarest.

No way I would pay the $100 for this book but I think someone else on there would. Obviously it doesn't matter unless it happens and I'm more than happy to be proven wrong yet again  :)

I hate hearing that you've been treated poorly on there Frank.

There tends to be more than a little Acaeum grumbling on there. Meh
